Sat down with a cup of tea to catch up and wow! Wishing Mr T all the best for today and loved catching up with all else.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Hi Tilly,

I have been a long time lurker on your thread - although I think I posted a long time ago once on a username I have forgotten the login details for.

Anyway, just wanted to say congrats for coming so far with the mortgage, outlook on life and massive congratulations to Mr T on his new job :j. My DH is currently out of work so I know how tough it is when you feel like your life has to be put on hold.

So well done and keep on going - I really enjoy reading your diary
Current mortgage as at start of diary 14.08.15 - £245,990.00
    Mortgage balance as at 04.01.20 - £123905.51
  • Hope all goes well with Mr T and he is full of the joys of Spring and paid employment when he gets home.

How quickly could the redundancy offer happen for you Tilly? Would it all fit with a new post?? You'd have nothing to lose!

  • Thank you for the posts, I sent Mr T a text telling him he has MSE behind him :T

I'm looking forward to catching up with him as life has been a whirlwind during the last couple of weeks.

I am starting to have discussions about opportunities and re redundancy have to play my cards carefully. This could be a win win because I get to stop work, or a different win win and I leave with cash and work elsewhere.

    Certainly fun times.

I'd better prepare for my next call :o
