Looking forward to hearing how his first day was. When do you expect him to get home?

  • Hi Lois, it's like a holiday for him as he's living the high life in a snazzy hotel :rotfl:

He will be working away or at home various days in the week, so there's a lot of organisation to do whilst we get used to it.

He's calling me later though to have a good catch up :T

Evening, just got off the phone after a long catch up. I can't believe how quickly things change :)

He's had a good day, a few challenges but he expected those and some quick wins which will build his reputation quickly. Happy days for Mr T.

I've spent time updating the calendar - what did we do before family calendars which you can sync to tablets, phones etc. fantastic :T. Reminders to out the rubbish out, take hound to vets etc all added.

In the 6 months Mr T was at home, he did a lot of stuff I used to do and now I'm taking up the baton again. I enjoyed the break but happy he's working again.

The kids and I are walking the hounds in the morning. Tomorrow is a ridiculous day and there will be no time later. They laughed when I said we were leaving at 6.15am :rotfl: It's true I said - I've got calls starting at 7.30am . I can't wait to see their faces when I pull them out of bed.

I've updated the RM survey site, completed a PC survey, £3 due, written a reminder to chase Hali about my lack of reward last month.

I've spent £30 on fuel and no other monies handed over anywhere.

Finally Mr T won £10 in a RM survey draw :T.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

Hello! I've been browsing your diary today.

Just wanted to to say, I was made redundant in 2010, and got a good redundancy deal, and a reasonable pension, considering I was 'only' 50 at the time.

Leaving a job under those conditions was a wrench, but it's also a new start in life, and is a great opportunity to make changes for the better. At the time, I wasn't ready to stop work completely, and found a 2 day a week job. I've loved having more leisure time, and I'm generally more relaxed and happy these days. I hope it all works for you.

I paid off my mortgage a few years ago, but only because it got to the end of the term...I wish I'd found MSE years ago - I admire everyone working on clearing their mortgages, and changing their lives. What you said a couple of days ago, about 'growing up'. Definitely understand what you mean. A few years ago we'd go to Bluewater every month for recreational clothes buying. I've changed a lot - now I buy very few clothes, and what I do buy has to be just right.

I'll look in again, to see how you are getting on.

Fingers crossed Lois. He's lucky in that his background is spot on for the client which makes communication better.

You never know what the future holds though - he wants to make some improvements fairly quickly to build trust etc. I'm happier listening to him talking like this, than when recruiters didn't respond.

The whole industry needs a shake up IMO :o

Nearly holiday time for you :T
