  • Morning, what a night  We do still have a garden not a swimming pool but only just.

    91p moved to MOS.

I really appreciate the supportive messages on my diary. I did have a complete melt down late last night but actually feel much better this morning. I think the pressure builds up and eventually something has to give.

Mr T made me laugh this morning - he is wondering, after all the rain, how long it will take in the summer for the hose pipe bans to start

Just over a week to payday and I think I may be moving another £300 to MOS. That could be pushing it but we'll see.

    Best wishes Tilly x

On behalf of Tilly - a Tilly Tidy is where you round down your bank account each day and transfer to mortgage or savings pots. So, if balance is £328.72 you would transfer 72p. Or possibly £8.72 if you decide to round down to nearest £10. A bit of fun, but they really add up - and it keeps your motivated.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • I do Tilly Tidies but I do it per transaction.

So if on a particular day, 3 direct debits go out for £14.50, £27.31 & £96.79, I'd Tilly Tidy 50p, 69p & 21p and transfer £1.40 across to the savings.

It's more than a Balance TT but slightly less aggressive than doing it to the nearest £5 or £10 (which I christened a Tilly Tidy Deluxe).

Then at the end of the month, when my next standing order comes into my bill account for £1,400 to cover the next month's bills, I round the whole account down to the £1,400 thereby saving the balance from last month.

In any case, they really do add up and it's so motivational!!!

  • Hiya brranger, it's just another opportunity to do something positive to reduce the mortgage debt.

Doesn't suit all people - if you have printed statements sent, you end up with reams. However, for online banking I love it.

Good to see another few pennies off the mortgage debt, or offsetting.

Mr E, Tilly Tidy Deluxe eh - crikey :)

What a day - grey cloud, blue sky and sun - we've had all types today.

Mr T and DS took the dogs out for a lovely long walk and they have enjoyed racing through the puddles.

    No money news this evening.

As DD is out tomorrow evening and then away on hols, we are having roast chicken with all the trimmings. I prepared it during con call breaks and Mr T has cooked it. Smells yum.

Soak in the bath and an early night on the cards and tomorrow is Friday :T. Can someone tell me where this week went please?
