I love gammon, but Mrs E is not a fan!

Well done on the SP refund, I think they owe us £500+ (still waiting for our switch to complete).

Have a lovely weekend, glad to hear that Mr T is feeling positive, I have no doubt that something will work out at just the right time :)

Well done for the £800 to the MOS Tilly ~ you're a great inspiration to us newbie MFW folk!

Hope something turns up for Mr. T soon ~ my youngest boy is in the same boat and out every day job seeking. Every year he ends up doing seasonal work because he can't get taken on permanently, then he ends up skint over the winter because he hates signing on. Fingers crossed for both of them

He might hate it but surely it's a necessary evil? It certainly was for me when I was made redundant.

  • Morning Habi, not sure about the inspiration bit as our mortgage plans are struggling at the moment but thank you anyway. Lets hope I'm a bit more inspirational once Mr T is working :)

Signing on is pretty awful at times and I know Mr T struggles. However it's the impact to his pension which keeps him doing it. He only has another month left and then no more funds from DWP. 6 months doesn't seem a long time after an adult lifetime of working full time.

Hi JoeDenise, agree it's a necessary evil for as long as it lasts.

Need to crack on so hope everyone has a good day and hopefully a bit of blue sky somewhere :rotfl:

  • Morning Mr E, that's a lot of money owing from SP. hope it arrives soon.

Gammon was actually very nice but not what I had in mind :)

    Have a good weekend.

Sounds promising that Mr. Tilly is being contacted for roles. Hopefully he will secure new employment just before DWP money ends.
