Good morning, we have rain and actually, I'm pleased. Yesterday seemed way too hot.

I'm WFH today and will do some ironing shortly. Nothing on my list got done yesterday but I have stopped swearing at the US :)

Dinner last night was mmmmmmm. Chorizo and chickpea stew was fab, even though I couldn't find the new recipe I'd seen, so I made it up. Kids asked if we could have it again *embarrassed* not sure I could replicate actually. I made whilst on a con call and was throwing things into the wok with gay abandon. (I use my !kea wok for loads of cooking, in case anyone thinks I'm mad).

22p TCB payment arrived and OPd

Shopping this weekend will be milk, butter, fruit and fresh veg. £20 tops I think.

Dinner - this is causing a dilemma as it was HM pizza (DS and Mr T delighted) but the parsley in the garden looks so beautiful, I feel like parsley sauce, as does DD. Dinner may be salmon and parsley sauce :) or pizza with chopped parsley, garlic and chilli 'sprinkles'

Off to have a cuppa. First call isn't until 9am so I feel like it's a late start :rotfl:

Have a fab Friday and this week has flown by.

    Best wishes

    Tilly x

ETA: I forgot about DDs tom picking. She picked two bowls of glorious, beautiful tomatoes and the flavours are delicious. Roast tomatoes with basic and garlic bruschetta for lunch on Sunday

  • I'm loving this time of year, with all the free food! Only problem is, mine all seems to be very fattening.. There should be a limit to how many apple and bramble pies/crumbles one can make, but there isn't in this house.

DS on tasting his first of the year a few weeks ago, decided... The fruit was better than the topping? Doh, so we have a drawer in the freezer full of steamed fruit to go on his 'boo'meringues.

I'm sticking to the crumbles and waistline is expanding, despite numerous dog walks.

Had an ace shopping trip to sainsburys Wednesday morning. 1kg beef topside off the deli for Sunday lunch, £1.70. 6 premium pork chipolatas 46p, rack of lamb £2.50.
