  • Morning Tilly,
Have just had a good catch up with your diary, as I had a rare few minutes to myself this morning! Good luck with the lodger hunting - now that we have had lots of lodgers, I know how important it is to find the right person - you can't have just anyone sharing your home with you. Lots of my friends say that they couldn't stand anyone living with their family, but I really enjoy it!
Well done with the Eb@y sales too - I am starting to declutter and it's not going too badly. Nothing of much value to sell on Eb@y, but lots of it is going to the charity shop and I have the odd item to sell.
    Have a lovely weekend!

  • Please feel free to tell me why I wanted to sort the loft out :eek:

There is stuff everywhere, plus we've had a trip to ike@ to buy plastic boxes with lids :)

One trip to the tip complete, with at least another two when we return tomorrow.

We've found stuff to take to Portugal, stuff to eb@y and stuff for the charity shops.

I must admit I cannot believe how much was in there and I'm pretty certain that it will still look full, after we are all sorted

Wardrobe emptying will have to wait until next weekend :o

Cup of tea finished so need to crack on with sorting upstairs. Thankfully DD is back from work, so she is going to help too.

Have a lovely weekend - albeit grey and miserable, won't be long and the clocks change and we will be outside woop woop

  • Yay the loft is finished. I have lovely neat keepsake boxes -still need to sort the contents, as I only did a little clear out but there's space to move around in the loft :T:T

Loads of stuff sorted to take to Portugal and car ram packed with rubbish for the tip. No room for anyone bar the driver

Much bigger stash of stuff for the car boot so it makes more sense to have one in the Spring now :)

Massive achievement and looking forward to a bath :)

Wish you could pop over to my house and sort out my attic for me Tilly! I made a start and gave up. Think I need to ship the boys to their Grandparents for the day, so that I have no excuses to make a start :rotfl:.

I think I may have said before, but I have not once been up in my attic since I moved here (approximately year and a half), as a result I have a lovely clutter free attic:D

Okay, that's enough bragging from me;) well done on the clear out/sorting/skipping achievement tills:T

I really am delighted that it's done. I cannot believe the amount of stuff we had up there - we must be completely barking - yep I know :o

It may sound a little lame but what a relief it's done :j

The eb@y stuff will have to be uploaded tomorrow, including a few more treasures I may have found.

I'm actually looking forward to sorting through the keepsake boxes next weekend, knowing that I have space to sit on the floor and work through them systematically :)

How do you know the last people took their possessions with them (including the stuffed grandma in the rocking chair )
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I have peeked through the trap door thingy - quite a few dead wasps and an old chest thing at the back - no doubt stuffed full of Colombian finest:D

Doesn't everyone have a stuffed nana in their attic?
