Mum kind of did this for me years ago, I saved £100 from my pocket money for spending money for a short break (I was 17 with no job at the time) and the night before I left mum gave me the total I had saved. I bet you will watch with interest when they get their first mortgages.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Wow...I have just finished your diary Tilly.
Don't worry about waffling, its really nice to hear about the things you do and there are some great tips.
I love all the banter too, its so nice to have such a great bunch of people on this forum.
Thanks for the previous 191 pages of posting and here's to going forward.

Goodness MCI that's a lot of reading. If you find one tip which makes a difference then that's brilliant news.
I have posted a number of times about the genoursity and kindness which people bestow within this forum. I hope I can quietly help others wherever possible, as SO many people have helped keep me on the straight and narrow.
I know not that long after starting my diary I very nearly stopped and it was the guys on this forum who hauled me up and pushed me to continue. That was a big lesson for me and I don't believe I've strayed off the path very often since then.
There are days when I imagine going out and having a blast, but even those have changed. Now I'm thinking of what type of paint to buy, or the size of bread oven I will one day have in my garden :T.
Good luck with your plans

Evening, another 20p TT OP this evening.
Tomorrow night its chicken and mushroom pie with bargainous filo pastry top. Whenever I see puff or filo pastry reduced, I grab some.
I've sorted out a old of papers for Portugal and I have another couple of hours to do tomorrow.

Morning, no pennies in bank accounts to OP
Copper pot is half full so I will pay that into the bank on Saturday morning, whilst Mr T and DS are emptying the loft again. I'm sure we did this last year but never finished it and now need to start from scratch. I have no idea what's up there anymore so am wondering whether we should photograph stuff as it goes back up.
My £2 pot is not doing very well - where are all the £2 coins? My 20p pig is feeling hungry as again there seems to be a dearth of those as well at the moment. Just realised I also drop 20p in to a box for the kids activities, so I've just answered my own question
I'm waiting for the next FLW (sorry but I want to limit my fees to eb@y) to get the gaming stuff uploaded. Loving having everything ready to go in the garage. Mr T has said he is inspecting at least two suits with the intention of selling.
On Mothering Sunday we are off to see Mum and take her to church first, then out for lunch. Looking forward to seeing her and her having two of her grandchildren around her on a special day. When we return home, I'm going to empty my wardrobe, forget whether clothes fit me or not, as I still haven't lost enough weight, and sort things into clothes I love/like and things I really have gone off. I don't have masses of clothes at all, but I am leaning towards a capsule wardrobe where everything mixes and matches, with maybe a couple of statement pieces - get me
Output of that activity will either be eb@y, CB or CS.
Next week Mr T and I start boot camp :T or , not sure which yet. Free taster but looking at the stuff they do, it's very similar to when we had a personal trainer, who was fab. I said at the beginning of the year I wanted to feel strong and achieving this goal needs more focus.
In the office today so I'd better get a move on.
Best wishes Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Thanks Tilly for my gold stars - I will wear them with pride; and thank you for your good wishes for our plans - I am sure that with some determination and some execution of some Tilly tips we will get there.
Cheers

Tilly you will love a capsual wardrobe, i wish i had done mine years ago - my only passion are shoes - ie the shoe version of lula!!
But , i get excited with finding things that will jazz up old pieces, i have got stuff thats 4 - 5 yeras going strong, but dont get me wrong also love new stuff. People often ask where i got stuff from.
I also love ebay ( new with tags ) for work clothes as i know i am a size 10 next come what may etc.
Last week bought some pumps new with tags for £5 and went to town and saw them for £17.99 in New l%k! bargin.
I always try to keep the wardrobe up to date , but then its pretty cool to have say black vest, black jeans and snaz up with a purple jacket and shoes..... the shoes and jacket were bought and still go with a dress for a wedding , but its fab!! - just takes practice and lots of confidence!!!
BUT, i alwasy find the old faithfuls that never seem to get chucked out. Bang on ebay with a 99p start price - its still pennies and more than the 0 pence its making you in your wardrobe!!!!!
Get me Moneycurios aka Gok Wan of MSE!!!
