Tilly you will love a capsual wardrobe, i wish i had done mine years ago - my only passion are shoes - ie the shoe version of lula!!
But , i get excited with finding things that will jazz up old pieces, i have got stuff thats 4 - 5 yeras going strong, but dont get me wrong also love new stuff. People often ask where i got stuff from.
I also love ebay ( new with tags ) for work clothes as i know i am a size 10 next come what may etc.
Last week bought some pumps new with tags for £5 and went to town and saw them for £17.99 in New l%k! bargin.
I always try to keep the wardrobe up to date , but then its pretty cool to have say black vest, black jeans and snaz up with a purple jacket and shoes..... the shoes and jacket were bought and still go with a dress for a wedding , but its fab!! - just takes practice and lots of confidence!!!

BUT, i alwasy find the old faithfuls that never seem to get chucked out. Bang on ebay with a 99p start price - its still pennies and more than the 0 pence its making you in your wardrobe!!!!!

Get me Moneycurios aka Gok Wan of MSE!!!
    xx:A

  • Hi MoneyCurious, or should I call you GW?

I wish you'd come over and sort my wardrobe out. I used to be very brave and combine different stuff, now I think I've given up and lost confidence. I'm sure this happens to many women sadly but I'd love to feel happier about what I wear.

I'm dragging an MSE chum shopping to help me focus on what really suits me, rather than me pick up another pair of black trousers.

I'm looking forward to clearing my wardrobe though.

I agree on the shoe front, I have quite a few pairs :)

    Under two weeks to payday

No lodger yet, weird vibe off one and other not interested. Ad is attracting a lot of views so hopefully someone lovely will come along.

Dinner is supposed to be leek, carrot and potato pie served with pork, however I don't fancy that today

    Friday already :T

    Have a good day

In my newly created saintly :A menu plan we're having beef stew and carrot & potato mash (the latter a 17p bargainous pot from mystery shop :D).

Don't think I'd fancy leek, carrot & potato pie either :(. Is it made, can't you serve carrots then cook leeks and stir them through yummy mashed potatoes :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Oh i love clearing clothes out!!! one of my friends cant do it and litterally has two rooms of wardrobes full - at her mums and only wearsabout 10 of them!
I have hit mu mums wardrobe this week. also toying with putting some lk bennet shoes on - notworn for ages , and some moda in Pelle ones..... we shall see!!!

tip the whole lot out and put back one pair of black pants, jeans, linens etc then work with tops that can go with all and build from there...... i am sure you will get there.

:A:A congratulations on your menu plan :A:A

LCP not made and Mr T is making HM pizzas with salad.

It sounded like a good idea at that time from Delia's frugal cookery book, but at this rate I may be having a trial on Amaz@n with the book.

Come and be my adopted daughter for a weekend - you can train daughter. I must admit if she weren't studying so hard, I'd be asking her to help me :)

I'm liking the idea of emptying everything out and I am going to be extremely ruthless about what goes back in.

    Keep posting the tips :T
