Tilly I have been a member on this forum for some time but just came accross your blog, read most of your entries at beginning when you started your countdown to being mortgage free, I was the same 8 years ago and am now debt free, KEEP IT UP.
We certainly have a long way to go until we are MF but it's great to see the progress we are making.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Tilly MFW my daughter has learned so much from my husband and i and the way we have managed to make small changes to cope with reduced income due to me having to give up my job due to illhealth when I was 45. She has just graduated from university, got a job and so has her boyfriend both environmental health officers, they are each approx 25k in debt through student loans which will start to come out of their pay in april, they work and live in London so rent eats up their pay plus travelling costs. Anyways I have encouraged my daughter to save and she is doing well and I have helped her fill this yrs isa, she is great, she wants a downpayment so that her and boyfriend can get a mortgage as paying 800£ month in rent alone. He is training as a law grad for a well know supermarket firm and will have a managers post in 2 yrs time, but it is the downpayment they need to get now to get a decent rate of mortgage if any atall, they budget every way they can and I will try and help them, it is brillinat to read your story, I have been through the mill in more ways than 1 and have come through and admire you, YOU Can do it. Best wishes. Brenda , Looking forward to reading your blog as you progress along the path of being mortgage free.

Got anything decent to sell .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Evening GG, well Mr T has just reminded me about his suits, so at least two of those will be going, if not 3.

DD is thinking of a few things to get rid of as well, so all helps :T

Pity I haven't cleared out my wardrobe yet, but maybe I'm better to get all clothing related stuff on, in one go :o

  • Well done on having clothes that are still in good enough condition to sell! The squirrel wardrobes are sadly old and shabby....

    Have a good weekend,

    Squirrel
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Morning Squirrel, maybe we should have a huge MFW clothes swapping session.

We have our own G@k W@n to help us now :T

I think Mr Ts stuff is more likely to sell but I do have a wedding outfit to sell for my mum, so you never know.......

    Have a good day
