Morning, back on the wagon. 59p account tidy OP made :T
I am driving up and down the motorway today but once home, I intend settling down with new recipe books and planning the January menu. We're out to a friends for dinner this evening and then friends over for dinner tomorrow. Tomorrow could be quite interesting as they are very non MFW guys. I'm making a turkey and ham pie so I'd best prepare myself for the leftover comments :rotfl:
What a sad woman I've turned into. I am delighted with my freezer and larder inventory.
Breakfast is going to be strawberry milkshake using up the leftover fruit, finishing a tub of icecream and milk. Yep I know that sounds really unhealthy but it will be shared between 4 of us - does that make it any better? LOL
We had finished so many jars of 'stuff' in the fridge but we will have to start the journey again :rotfl:
Now can I manage on £20 between now and last Saturday in January? My freezer, larder (aka garage) are full, so with some inventive menu planning I think it's possible. We are out for New Year's Eve and that comes out of entertainment pot.
To those who braved the sales yesterday or who are off today, you're very brave. I'm staying away this year. I still have enough Xmas cards and wrapping paper from the last two years.
Have a great day, Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Hi NewGirly, would be great to have some company. It seems achievable but food shopping is a habit isn't it? I have a large upright freezer and it is full to bursting. I'm looking forward to defrosting it in February.
What amount are you going to put aside for milk, fresh fruit etc? I have loads of home frozen veg to use so won't be buying anything apart from Fr/milk.
Lets give it a go :T

Morning, next goal is £199k - that should be in June 2013 however, I will be £1800 short
No way I can close that gap by eBay sales so food budget will have to help. The January £300 will be a big help, but I do need to get back on the eb@y wagon. Will have another go with Gum£ree as well.
Off to take the hounds out

Hi Tilly, Stewing it over I think I will have to do a reduced food budget rather than a ns month, otherwise the kids will have to have pickled onions and thorntons chocolate for packed lunches at school :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1

Good morning guys, glad everyone is present and correct and fully sprouted where appropriate.
Tilly that's another fine goal you've set there, will be following rather than getting there with you but have to say Polkadotdress i'll be watching your totals as you are closer to my figures, hope you have a fabby mansion:D.
Home alone with the children today as DH is off to work and has taken my car to get it's leak looked at, hopefully a very small, simple, inexpensive problem:rotfl:.

Very late getting on the motorway, my relative doesn't want to leave, which is lovely but a bit tricky at the same time.

I meant to say Tilly, when I took the 'food bank' box to the church I was absolutely humbled by their gratitude.
My office buddies have all agreed that we will continue to collect and hand in on a regular basis, so thank you for the inspiration XFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Hi Natty, that's so lovely to hear. I think we all get caught up in our worlds and just taking that time to stop and do something is fab.
We've only just got back home so glad we ar going to friends for dinner. I don't think I'd have the energy to do anything :rotfl:
However, my beautiful children have done all the ironing :T

Morning, I've just remembered I said I would add all my a/c tidy ops together and see what they came to. Will definitely do that but probably tomorrow.

Mr GG said to tell you that if you tidied up pounds instead of pence you would pay it off quicker. I told him I would pass it on in case you hadn't thought of it :rotfl:.
He also said to tell you he made 2 cups of tea from 1 teabag this morning. This made him very excited, he has found the way forward. I too was very excited as mine got made 1st so no difference.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
