I think it's great that your children are learning from it too. There are so many grown adults I see who are just useless with money because they had absolutely no financial education. It's one of the most important lessons you could learn, but seems to be at the bottom of the list for alot of schools (and parents!)

Hope the GCSE results go well. Your children sound very sensible and as you say all you can do is guide them.

Between being well guided and finding this site in my early 20's I'd like to think I am sensible about money without being too frugal. I'd rather stay in most weekends and go on a holiday each year than go out drinking every weekend. Each to their own but I figure if we are careful with money 90% of the time, we can blow it the other 10% of the time :)

  • Miss T is fast asleep - hyper when she went to bed, then konked out :)

Who knows what tomorrow holds, but one way or the other, it is another chapter - she worked very hard and lets see.

Night Tilly (will I get to sleep I wonder)

  • How can she sleep? It's good that she can though - more energy to celebrate tomorrow.

I didn't sleep a wink the night before getting my GCSE or A-level results... the same the night before my final degree grading was released... and again the night before my PhD viva!!!

I barely slept before exams or results days, I'd regularly go to exams on an hours sleep, adrenaline kept me going and then I'd conk out after the exam!

    Good luck to Miss Tilly!
