Could i just ask, is the type of f1tb1t you have dependent on what type of excercise you do? Would a gym bunny, or olympic standard cyclist have a spiffy, all-singing, all-dancing one,; compared to someone who was just interested in general fitness levels, achieved primarily through walking as much as possible?
TIA

Gally recommended a basic fit bit for me - will need to check out which one. I wear it clipped to my bra😚😚😚

Thanks Tilly, Thanks greent.
Now that I have a couple of examples to goggle - and including info that apple muncher mentioned on my thread - I'm wondering, whether one of the 'clip on' fitbits might better suit my needs? The reason why I am pondering that is that I know that I would primarily be looking to measure my 'steps per day'. Not necessarily how fast I did them in (unless I'm late for a clinic appt or something:rotfl:), or how many calories I used/mountains I walked up in equivalency
But when I would be *measuring* (ie walking) I would be either carrying Baby Greying or pushing the pram/chair. Now, would it be no real stretch of the imagination to believe that my arms may be too stationary to register movement with a wristband version? Clearly, if you are walking unencumbered, or jogging, you usually move your arms more than if you are walking with a little personage or a pram. Clipped to my waistband, it would register more movement - of my legs - surely?
Mind, I do think the wristband ones are pretty spiffy looking

We have stairs at Greying Towers. I am up and down them most of the day - all to do with Baby Greying, natch. Nothing to do with being a lady of a certain age and indoor plumbing.........:rotfl: Ah so that is 3 of you that have that f1tb1t, and it appears to do what you need it to. Unless you all are, in fact, undercover gym bunnies or olympian grade road cyclists........... :rotfl:;)

I don't think I'm old enough to own one yet Alex - as whilst I am older than you, I keep on getting texts/emails from my aged aunts that tell me, amongst other things, that it has been sent via their eye-fone or eye-patch....... Perhaps I'll have the time to save in the interim period that = our age difference :rotfl:

. Believe me, the novelty soon wears off when you can't overtake them!!!
18,000 steps today so far but I think the food and drink partaken en route has more than offset that.
