Hi - normally a lurker but just read your diary start to finish over the course of about a week and it's inspirational! I'm lurking on MFW for inspiration as I'm saving for a deposit with my OH - he agrees with the idea of OPing already! (Once student overdraft banished for good in less than a fortnight!)
Good luck to Miss and Master T - sounds like Miss T is doing something very similar to what I did (I've just graduated so would be a few years older than her) - and it's a long slog but well worth it!
Thanks for your diary and I'm looking forward to your next adventures!House fund: ~£5000 / £10,000_£1000 emergency fund #208 - £151.74/ 1000 _

Hi Ab-saver, wish I'd started this journey at your age 😉. Whether you clear capital or invest to increase £, just knowing that you are doing the right thing is brilliant.
Good luck with your plans and if you've started a diary I'll find you. This is a great forum for advice and support.

Morning, operation 'sell the skin off your back' seems to have hit the Tilly household.
Garage of doom 50% sorted yesterday. I am nearly out of loo rolls :eek::eek:
FB and EB have lots of items for sale or free. Some already collected yesterday, there today and more finish next weekend. Even after KMing previously I cannot believe what we still have. I'm guessing that what sparks joy one time can pall in the interim.
Mr T has been Annie Sloaning an old bedside table - circa 1992 Argos so a real treasure. This is a trial before 'real' furniture is painted.
CS has benefitted from crockery, mugs, glasses, saucepans.
Only new items being purchased are a study lamp and two bedside lamps for our room. Mr T noticed yesterday that the current ones don't match - don't match  They haven't matched for 18 years :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Just realised I'm lying about the new purchases. Mr T has bought a new magnetic whiteboard. He has had his for 16 years and the 'cleanability' has gone. £25 instead of £76 :T
I've also decided to sell another fridge today. How many armchairs, fridges and freezers does one family need I wonder. Off to clean said fridge now and get it uploaded before I change my mind.

So exciting reading plans and hearing them come togetherMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Another top tip - don't order any off Amazon if you've had a few drinks :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Morning, what a week. Spent 2.5 days completely floored with flu and now feel quite out of sorts.
Sold a fair bit on eb@y this week with more finishing this weekend.
Removal quotes varied from £2k all in to over £4k  We are going with a local family company.
DS is having a great time - working hard but definitely the right thing for him. DD is enjoying her freezer of takeaway food. HM curries and stews etc. She'll have a batch cook day before she goes back to Uni in the New Year. This will help empty stuff from our freezer too.
Garden looks sad but I don't feel like it is ours now. Much planning is underway for new one.
Right - cup of tea time methinks.
