Morning
Thanks for your lovely messages. It's a horrible bug but I'm well on the mend. May be snuffly but no aching or headaches.
Sun is out
Eb@y madness almost finished. £372 with a potential £50 on top if the other few items sell - I'm hopeful.
Loads have been collected already and cash paid. We spent £130 on wardrobes, chest of drawers to match DD bedside tables (£10 thank you very much) and three small round tables.
When we move to Portugal we will sell on everything we've bought plus loads more. We have both thoroughly enjoyed decluttering
Cup of tea is beckoning.

Morning, what a couple of weeks. Eb@y has been good fun and we have both enjoyed the 'ker-ching' moments. Over £500 added to savings and we are done now until the move.
i need to confirm to removal company that we intend using them. We are definitely part packing and the charity shops will benefit from shoes, clothing, books I've missed. Having KMd the house over the last couple of years it has made a big difference to the planning. We still seem to have too much stuff but what remains does spark joy.
Interestingly I spoke to mum about getting rid of stuff and she quickly mentioned things I'd been given after dad died. Mum basically moved stuff to me as she didn't want to make a decision. I was able to say I'd kept everything - which I have. When I lose my mum, all this stuff will go but I wanted to be able to produce things if she 'recalled' them. Looks like I made the right decision. It is interesting how stuff becomes more than that. The suit he wore for his first grandchild's wedding; his favourite scarf etc. I don't look on these as burdens I'm carrying around but neither do I need them to remember my dad. I have pictures which are going into a new photo book and they capture his party soul perfectly. For now, I can show things to mum when she needs to feel connected to him.
Sadly I'm doing something similar with a few bits from my sister and these are much harder to part with.
Sorry, that ended up a bit like War and Peace.
I'm having a quiet day today - small but blinking painful procedure in hospital yesterday. Lots of painkillers and slept like a log. I think a morning sitting on the sofa and writing cards sounds like a good plan.
I can't sit in the kitchen - we are down to two stools and an IKEA table top which Mr T has turned into a painting table. Bedlam

Evening
Moving week sorted just waiting for final date to be confirmed.
DS is home and we're having a great holiday. Tilly Tidies are working well and have covered the cost of 1 tonne of wood 😃
Furniture renovation is going well and more bits have left the house.
MSE has been a big help during this journey. Good luck to anyone reading this - stick with it as it works.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
