Positive thoughts from me too. I pop on every day to see if there is any good news. It's most likely that someone has taken him in thinking he's a stray.

Im holding on to the thought of that dog wagging their tail and being shooed away, as I cant help but think that that was Rory, and that suggests to me that he has come to no harm, and that he is still out there somewhere, and we just keep missing him.

How many black dogs with a white muzzle are running free in Nairn? Only Rory, im sure of that ... It just had to be him!
Some days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.

Just popping in with good wishes for today, I said a prayer last thing last night and first thing this morning for Ruaridh. Surely we must be storming heaven by now?

If I were nearer I would help you post a flyer to every single house in Scotland!

Is your area rural enough to have a post bus? Do you think you could bribe the postie with something (chocs, whisky?) to stick a poster on his van and push a flyer through the doors of the really outlying places? I wouldn't go asking 'officially' because presumably they will charge, but if you are friendly with your postie he or she might be able to pull a few unofficial strings. Or to take a poster to stick up in the village post office of the really outlying places?

Do friends have his poster on their car windows? You never know who might pass a parked car at the supermarket with Ruaridh's poster in it and recognise him. Maybe you could take turns with friends on Saturday to hold his poster up outside supermarkets, as I note that Sainsbury's at least wouldn't let you put a poster up, tight s*ds. Could you lock a bike up near the entrance with his laminated poster stuck to the bike? That way you won't actually have put a poster up at the supermarket but there's no law about displaying a poster on a bike and chaining it up to a lampost near the supermarket gates. Any old bike would do! That way any elderly people visiting the supermarket during the week when it's quiet and who don't have the internet might see it.

    Good luck Sazzy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There have been so many good suggestions on this thread I am really surprised he's not been found yet. You'd think the whole of the Highlands would have been covered one way or another! :undecided

IF he hasn't been taken in, then how could he stay largely unseen?

Farmer's barns and fields would be the less populated areas so maybe he's around there most of the time?

Farmers are busy people and wouldn't necessarily be aware of what was going on in surrounding areas, maybe a phone call to all local Farmers specifically? Am I repeating something that's already been suggested/done? I'm getting older, my memory is rubbish so if so, then just ignore me again. :D

I'm thinking maybe he's somewhere people haven't been passing, hiding in an old barn or a ditch, or in the woods not able to find his way out, or in someone's garage or shed. If he was out in the open, he'd have been seen by now. He can't have just totally disappeared with so many people looking out for him.

Nothing from the DogWardens office. He says he doesn't know what the office girls were talking about. :(

Another lovely lady called me afetr seeing his photo and story in the Nairnshire Telegraph to offer her support and sympathy- which was nice of her.

When do you think my heart is going to stop leaping into my throat when the phone rings?
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Thanks for letting us know. When we get a long silence, I start worrying even more, as I know good news will be instant.
