Every time this is bumped I pray he's found. I have been following it all through but never posted.

Marnie's story doesn't fill me with any hope as to her safe return unfortunately. Scumbags attacking a decent couple in front of their little girl aren't likely to treat a dog with any kindness. Obviously some information was passed from a neighbour, relative or friend that the mother dog was there.
Selling Marnie would leave a trail, so disposal out of spite at being thwarted is most likely. Poor little mite.

That Ruars old mate is not what happened to you.

I too check every day, if it's the lead post in the morning, my heart leaps.

I've just seen a stray dog in my area while I was out walking my two. He bolted when I tried to approach him, seemingly frightened of my dogs. He had a collar on but I couldn't see if he had an ID tag.

It's pitch black and freezing cold out, near a busy road too,and there wasn't a thing I could do to help the dog as he was so frightened and disappeared into the darkness.

Got me thinking about Ruaridh again, hoping and praying he's safe in front of somebody's fireside.

And hoping too that this other terrified little creature makes it safely home, whoever he was.
