I really don't think it is him - it says he's been with a family and for the last 12 months been in all day and then had to go down two flights of stairs to toilet. It's worth keeping an eye on these sites though.

All those gorgeous oldies. If I won the lottery I would give every single one of them a home.

Yes, I saw that. But it's a (remote) possibility that someone had taken him in and could no longer cope with him or afford to keep him - sazzy did say his continence wasn't all it could be if he was startled by loud noises, for example. They could've given the rescue a sob story about what a good family dog he's been but now circumstances have changed...he's home alone all day and has a struggle to get to the toilet. I've known people wanting their own dog rehomed saying they found him in the street.

Or the rescue place makes up a story about the dog's background as it's better than saying he was a stray and they know absolutely nothing about him. Much more likely, perhaps, to find an elderly dog a home if they're economical with the truth!

The fatty lump in exactly the same place as Ruaridh's is what's worrying me. I know the chances are that it's not Ruaridh, but as there's a photo, sazzy could look at it and know immediately if it's him or not.

Clutching at straws now, I know. But like the rest of us on here, I'm desperate for a positive outcome to sazzy's anguish and would be delighted to see Ruaridh safely home where he belongs.

Hi guys. Thank you so much for keeping looking for the old man. The dogs on the oldies club aren't Ruars though.

We'd looked at Ebony before, and there was another one called Frankie I believe.

I just hope these old 'uns get a home though. I want them all.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

Had my hopes up there for a few minutes, was desperately hoping that it was him.
We'll never give up looking and hoping Sazzy.
    One day..... fingers crossed.

I still believe that he's being looked after somewhere, he's never been found and you've had no bad news of him. Let's all hope that wherever he is and whoever is looking after him gets the message soon and that in the meantime he's happy.

It's the absence of bad news that's still giving me hope that he's been taken in by someone.

If anything bad had happened to him, I can't imagine any circumstances in which he wouldn't have been found by now.

Sazzy, you must be SO desperate to bring him home. I can't believe how well you're coping.

I hope they are frightened outside and will get back to you.

You hope who are frightened outside? Do you mean Ruaridh?
