Ohhhhh Aileen (((hugs))) .... wish there was something I could say or do to help:( and I wish with every bone in my body that Ruars was home safe with you.
I know it's not the same thing at all but time isn't healing the wounds here either ..... I cut the grass for the first time this year at the weekend and discovered many balls hidden in the tufts where Ben had left them:( which was really hard.
His bed is still out - wee cat (always did & still) sleeps in it and tbh I just can't bring myself to move it.
Sorry - probably makings things worse which is the last thing I want to do.:o
Will light a candle for both our boys tomorrow night and pray that you boy's found soon xxGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Sazzy - I also wish that there was more that we could do. I only came on to see if there was any news. I long for the day I can log in and find a headline saying he had been found safe and well and was home with you.
The not knowing where he is and what's happening to him must be the worst feeling.
I still think he's being taken care of out there by someone who doesn't know he's got a family looking for him. Its just knowing how to get the message across. If only he hadn't slipped his collar and left his tags behind, he'd no doubt have been back a long time ago.
I just don't know what to say. You really need to get the message over in something that a lot of people would see.

Rising - I know how hard it is for you too, to be without Ben. Living on your own makes it worse - been there, done that.
I hope you are able to find another dog soon that needs your love. Ben wouldn't want you to be unhappy.
Both of you, take care. xx0 -
Still reading daily and feeling helpless.
Come home old guy, I know someone must be caring for you but your Mummy misses you so much.
Thinking of you Aileen.2 angels in heaven :A0 -

Thank you all so much- and rising- you are NOT making things worse for me at all. If anything- it makes me feel less alone (hope that didn't come out the wrong way-don't want to offend anyone)
Leave Bens bed out- especially if wee cat is using it. It's not hurting anyone at all, and I believe it helps. If you did put it away- you'd feel guilty as well as grieving, so leave well alone until you're ready
As for finding the balls in the garden, it's big sticks with me. Heard a huge rattle, and there was a fat stick all tooth marks...lol. Bruce prefers balls so I knew it wasn't his, and had to be the old boys. Used to find sticks planked under the bed, under the duvet, at the side of the tumble dryer...even now when I'm walking Bruce and Zelda, I see a big fat stick and think 'now Ruars would LOVE that one'
Don't think that'll ever stop, and you know what? I don't think I want it to either..:oRuaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

We'll never stop caring Sazzy, until he is safe at home with you. You have been amazingly strong and we are all behind you, every day xx0

Just bringing Ruars and his candles back to the front page.

Just dropping in to say I'm still thinking of you and Ruaridh and praying and hoping. xx
And a hug for Rising, too.
People who don't have dogs and love them just don't know how incredibly special and beautiful dogs are.
Happy Mother's Day to all the dog-mummies on here xxxAspire not to have more but to be more.

Just had a look at the Oldies Club website...there's a black male labrador cross on there, with photo, called Ebony. The description of this dog says he's about 13 years old, has had a non malignant tumour removed from his abdomen since going to the rescue, and has a LIPOMA (a harmless fatty lump) on his side. Their vet says as this causes him no discomfort it needn't be removed.
I know sazzy mentioned Ruaridh has a fatty lump on his side too. Might be worth having a look at his picture?
There's another labrador cross on there called Baxter - it's just the fatty lump on Ebony is in the same place as Ruaridh's.0 -
That would be so fantastic if it was him wouldn't it. I need to know... NOW!!!!!0
