Went to Munlochy, and SSPCA kennels today-it's totally bl00dy heartbreaking how many dogs are needing a home. I just wanted to sweep them all up and take them home.

When I went and started talking-they pointed to their wall/noticeboard, and there was Ruars-they'd had him on there since the beginning, which was encouraging, In fact the SSPCA lady started crying, which set me off. She said all the drivers had his picture in their vans, and knew exactly what to do if they saw him.

My heart hurts. I know life goes on, and I'm going to work, functioning-but he's always there, in my head. I see on doglost that some people are still looking after 3 years. Will that be me?

Sorry again for rambling-my head seems to be all over the place this evening. I honestly don't know what else I can do anymore.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Aileen, way back at the beginning of the thread I mentioned making contact with an animal communicator. Would you consider this now as you seem to have tried everything else?

I sincerely hope you don't have to wait much longer sazz. I can't see what else you can do either, apart from wait and watch the found adverts and especially keep in touch with the DW. I should hope too, that he is in contact with other DWs in the vicinity.
No news is torturing you, but there hasn't been bad news either. That would suggest that some misguided person has him, which would make me feel pretty angry.... But, they could have taken him in, and now with all the publicity not know what to do.
I see on Dogs lost that there is no reward offered. I'm sure that's an oversight as you mentioned one to us. Perhaps the ad needs updating to appeal in a different way.
eg "Reward offered for the safe return of our darling, old, black labrador. He escaped due to his fear of fireworks on 05/11/2011 and we hope some kind person has given him comfort and shelter. His companion Bruce is pining for him, and we all want him home. No questions will be asked and the reward paid."

I spoke recently of how I suspect my dog had never been walked before coming here.
When I'm out with him, I always wrack my brain for Raurs. Today I was thinking back to when we had a dog when I was a kid. She was never walked, for reasons I won't bore you with.

Also, I had a chat with a previous neighbour and mentioned my dog. She didn't even know that I had a dog! That's because he was transported in my car to a park twice a day to be walked.
So you see, it is possible to have a dog without anyone knowing.

The Pig Lane place, sounds as though they might be flushed out with a reward. Or just park and watch.!

Please ali-t, you mean well, but it's all hocus pocus. If there was such a thing, all those poor lost animals would be home, and without a fee.

Just because you do not believe does not mean it is not real. I have used one in the past and had fantastic results. Please do not deride things you do not know or understand until you have a better awareness.

Bearing in mind that all the usual routes have been tried without success, what does Aileen have to lose?

What sazz has to lose, is her hard earned money. I do know you mean well ali, but if you're so convinced, are you willing to pay for one?

You pay, and we all will refund you on the result. Can't say fairer than that.
