they should do their maitenance in the early hours of a sunday morning instead, at least people should have their monday money in their accounts before then - any !!!!-ups/delays should have much less problems on a sleepy sunday morning than a busy saturday.0

Maybe they had some unforseen failure. Sunday would have been better, but banking is 24/7 now, so no real ideal time unfortunately :-(0

It is not doable for my mum to drive me. She already lives 250 miles away from me. I am literally getting to a point where my Crohns is going to kick off, if that happens am screwed as I NEED TOILET PAPER. I have very few people around me because they all poop on me from a great height. I did click a link the other day and knew about the maintenance issue.
BUT AS I KEEP SAYING THE MAINTENANCE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN FIXED BY NOW and people should be able to access their accounts as normal.
If I was able to work, and thus save some money for moments like this then I would. If I was irresponsibe enough to have a credit card and be on benefits then I would be foolish.
Natwest are going to lose me as a customer if they do not resolve this issue soon. It is disgusting and quite frankly I feel for anyone who is affected. If you are lucky enough to have food in your fridge right now and some cash in your pocket or savings think about those who cannot save.
I have asked everyone I know if they can help including my ex. (that was hard)Never judge a book by it's cover!
I may look well but I am very poorly, I am fed up with being judged because I cannot work. Grrr!!
I am not looking at them, they just aint real!

Oh and just to reiterate, the maintenance was between 0150 and 0530 this morning if I remember rightly.
Between 0150 and 0530 does not mean 0150 until when we can be bothered.Never judge a book by it's cover!

Who is going to pay the overtime bill for this Sunday working then ?
Computers and the software are complex, something unforeseen has gone wrong. The systems people will be trying to find what has gone wrong and will then either need to roll back the changes, or fix the problem, whichever is the best solution.
No point everyone keeping going on about it.....
The only useful info at this point will be posts that inform everyone that everything has been resolved. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Why do you keep going on about it? I hope to god next maintenance they have a major security issue and your account is defunked and money missing. See who will be first to complain they should have took time to fix it.

What an absolutely appaulling thing to say to someone who is ill, you should be ashamed of yourself. We r a family who work, but low income and rely on tax credits that go in today. We cannot access them, and need them right now. I am fortunate enough my parents r only 25 miles away and I had enough petrol to go and meet my dad half way and get some cash. but many others will be in a bad way because of this.
While I understand things go wrong, it does not make it ok for people who genuinely need their own money, and they have every right to sound off about it.2012 wins: meal out for 2, bouquet of flowers, bracelet, dress0 -

i'm pretty sure even the rbs group even in their current state could probably just about afford extra overtime pay for IT techies working early hours sunday morning.
as 'uptomyeyeballs' said we are living in a 24/7 banking age but i think much less fuss would have been made by people (i'm not fussed at all myself) if these problems were happening in the first half of sunday when half the population are still in bed at 10.30am rather than saturday.
memo to rbs: do it on a sunday morning next time (just in case...)0
