Tappers, hope you are ok ? xx

thanks RR - I'm ok, think I'm suffering from stress. I find it hard to admit this as I was brought up to just get on with things - stress and depression was for weak people but even I can see that I'm not my usual self. I seem to work so hard but get nowhere iykwim plus worries about DS1 as usual.
I just dont know what to do about it.

I've spent all morning cleaning up after the dogs - the kitchen floor gets disgusting with paw prints and dog hair. I've stopped now for a cuppa and some toast. Got some HM celery soup for lunch. Having a quiet day at home - need to do some catching up.

Thinking of all those in the M5 crash - its where I get off the motorway to visit Mum. Mummysaver lives near there so hope she's ok.

Have a great weekend all x

  • Happy Birthday beth I do hope you have a good one as you have had lots of troubles this year so a nice day would cheer you up I do hope you get spoiled a little bit
farmers wife well done on your promotion
Hugs to mooloo & DD hope all goes well
In fact <hugs to any of you who are going through the mill a bit.>>

So awful for those poor families on the motorway. I have always hated driving in foggy weather, some poor souls are going to have a rotten Christmas this year after the big accident

Today its grey and very damp and rain is forecast all day My DGS Ben wants to go with his pals to the 'Great Lines' bonfire night at Chatham, and I wonder if it will still be on if the weather closes in.I am not putting my head out of the door today I am just about to start doing some baking and will be cooking for most of the day I want to make some chunk veggie soup and the cake tins need replenishing .I also want to make a cheesey quiche to use up some odds and ends in the fridge.Tonights dinner will be liver and bacon and mash and broccoli all taken from my freezer as I am trying to run it down to defrost before Christmas .So I will be in my kitchen for most of the day with my radio on and radio four to listen to as I find its an interesting station.12.30 is the news quiz which I never miss if I can help it on a Saturday its very funny and full of wit.
If I get all my cooking done this afternoon I will be feet up, with a pot of tea and some cake and my knitting watching catch-up t.v.That takes care of me for the rest of the day.
I hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing and take care with the fireworks if you are having them at home .

    Morning all,

Can't help thinking about all those whose lives have been turned upside down by the big crash. Guess they were just going home or out for the evening or visiting friends and then this happens. It makes you thankful for your mundane life and aware of how it can all come crashing down. Love and prayers to all involved.

Happy Birthday Beth. You deserve flags and bells today after the time you have had recently.
Tired mum, fingers and toes crossed for your DS.
Farmers wife, well done, glad you are appreciated.
JackieO. Your day sounds fab. Enjoy it.

Intended to spend this morning having a blitz on the back garden. I like to have everything tidy for the winter, but 2 nights of rain has turned it from concrete to a quagmire so given up that idea and carrying on with the ironing instead. Then will make soup with the tired veg hanging around, some more rolls and 2 large apple crumbles for the Drop-in tomorrow.
Eating only when hungry seems to be working a treat. We must have cut our food consumption by half, which , if we can keep it up, will not only get our weight down but our housekeeping bills as well.
    Have a good weekend.:)

Many thanks for the supportive vibes. They must have worked a treat as Mooloo's DGD was allowed home so very good for them both:T:T:T

Just got back from C0stc0. It was absolutely packed and I spent a fortune:eek::eek::eek: Nearly had heart failure at the checkout - well my heart skipped a beat. Anyway I have stocked up loads and will not need to go again until way past Christmas.

Having another cuppa and then off to portion up and freeze my meat and other goodies:T:T:T
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Well done on the promotion farmers wife! (great name by the way - I am a farmers wife to be :)

All quiet here, gdad is sleeping, nipped to town and got some jeans for £10

Going to take advantage of the fiver off at mr Ts on Monday and shop there for a change.

Umm. Awkward question, but, how do I say good bye to gdad tomorrow?? Not sure what to do, as we both know it will probably be the last time we see each other.

Saw my aunty earlier she was let out of hospital but needs to see a neurologist and is waiting for her scan results.

Tappers, you need to get yourself to the Dr, I was once suffering from stress and depression, and was reluctant to go to my gp, (I was bought up to get on with things too,) BUT, someone said to me, you would go to the Dr for a chest infection, or tummy problems or any thing else, well this is just another problem with your body, but you just cant pin point it or see it. So please go, get yourself some help before it gets any worse xxxx
  • Afternoon all

Grey and horrid here. Have been MIA, yesterday was my 50th birthday . Am ok now but it's a bit of a shock as I feel better than I did when I was in my 20's. Went out last night clubbing and got back at 2.30am, no hangover though :D.

    Bethebee Happy Birthday to you:beer:.
Not much planned for today apart from taking DS to the beach to see the fireworks if they're on. Roast chicken for tea.

Hope everyone is safe and well and big hugs to all who need one.
