How many birthdays?!!!!! Oh my word.
I managed to scale right back on presents.
That said I have just wrapped up some bargain giftsets I got from Tescos in January. Every little helps and all that. Excel sheet updated. As is the signature, not due until midnight but I couldn't wait.

Ok brizzled, so you and I will be bottom of the pile, already decided ! :rotfl:
I joined the daily small things challenge and the PAD but I keep forgetting to update it. Also I found that lots of people seemed to PAD to their credit cards, but being on a DMP I don't do that as they will get greedy, so mine goes to the emergency fund, f&f fund or sealed ish pot , so I felt a bit like I was cheating ! I did PAD £2.67 to the Sealed Ish pot yesterday though so maybe I will nip over to the PAD thread and declare it ! The daily small things, just wasn't working for me as I always seemed to have daily big thingsand I didn't get around to posting on there either. Hmmm not too good at this am I ?

I will try and still do it in April, if I see you have NSD on your Diary Mrs Happy I will try and remember it and you never know you might win my lovely and oh so generous prizes without even trying ! brizzled and I are already out of the running anyway :rotfl:
Flylady, how are you finding it ? I have looked at the thread a few times but I have a bit of a routine I try and stick to anyway , so again not sure I would manage it. I think I may try and look at t he grocery challenge for MArch though although again because of birthdays I seem to spend most of MArch entertaining due to birthdays and you know how it is Keeping Up Appearances and all that !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Happy Monday everyone,
Well after another busy weekend, I'm glad to report that Mr Pinot came home last night, he was only away for a couple of days and he didn't snore !!!:T I still haven't bought the remedy suggested by bonnington, but I will , just incase he resorts back to his usual deafening habits.
So after a full nights sleep, I am in full swing today, aiming for lots of lists. I'm having a money panic though. There is nothing left in the account, well maybe £10 ish, I haven't dared look yet. Not much food in the house and the business account is looking very very sorry for itself. Mr Pinot needs to buy train fares for next three days, car tax due by Wed and I haven't paid the council tax this month. Train and car bits will be paid from the business, but obviously not the council tax. VAT due also, which although is put aside in another business account, is slightly less than it should be for various reasons, so I need to take a look at that as well.. We couldn't pay ourself the £4000 as shown on the SOA this month, so thats where its gone a bit wrong, so I may have to raid the emergency fund to pay the council tax, unless by a miracle somebody pays us early, then all is good. February has been a great month work wise, so we will be back on track for March which is a good feeling, I just need to get around this little hiccup, and as usual I have no idea when we will see any money filtering in
Re the birthdays, I have tried so hard to scale back and try not to buy for any hangers on, although its difficult if they buy for my children ,even if I ask them not too and as our situation is my guilty secret I find it tough not to return the favour. Some of the birthdays will be just cards or a small bunch of flowers. I think I will just "Wing It" as my DD2 tells me often !! Its also Mothers Day which is usually celebrated with a huge bunch of flowers to both Mums, but I need to rethink that this year. DD1's birthday next weekend, I have had to say no to a party this year which is fine as she understands, but instead we have twelve 14 year old girls sleeping and two 11 year olds 1!! Help Me !!!!!!
So list for today -
Look at money situation - DONE !
Invoice everybody who is outstanding - DONE !
Pay VAT - DONE ISH BUT HANGING ONTO THE CHEQUE FOR GRIM DEATH !!
Pay Council Tax - WILL PAY THAT WED
Pay Car Tax - ER AS ABOVE !!

Make more rice pudding
Put dinner in slow cooker, found a jar of Japanese curry in the cupboard and I am hoping there is chicken lurking int he freezer, so will sling that in to do its thing while I work - DONE !
Take DD2 to opticians to choose her glasses, may hold off for another few days if thats not too wicked, just incase the NHS glasses are awful and I need to pay something towards a nicer pair. DONE !
Watch DD1 play in her Hockey MAtch SHES NOT PLAYING, SHE WANTS OT SORT HER GLASSES OUT TOO !! AARGH !! THE MONEY TREE IS DEAD !!
Chase Lloyds re PPI payment, they have not responded to last two letters. - DONE !
File DMP paperwork , looking a bit messy and disorganised at the moment
Email Cashflow advisor re default notices. We were advised to request a default right at the start of the DMp which we didn't do, so I want to email him asking if he still thinks its what we should do/ - DONE !! THINK I HAVE TRAUMATISED THE POOR MAN WITH MY THOUSAND QUESTIONS< BUT I HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED A REPLY !!
Send SAR to MBNA with Postal Order for £10 (bought in January but not used ),as there is PPI on a very old account, amounting to at least £1500 and thats just the statements I can find . DONE !
Ok, I think thats enough for today.
Hope you are all well xxxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
