Far too tired for proper conversation but couldn't not say congrats on the MBNA refund :)

  • Well it 3am and Mr Pinot has taken to snoring soooo loudly that I have no chance of sleep, so here I am ! Slightly bleary eyed though.

Apologies for not replying to all your lovely messages from yesterday individually, but they are really appreciated. Thankyou all! Its so lovely that you are all keeping me company on this mammoth very bumpy journey ! Yes the signature is looking great, but its still such a huge amount ( Big gulps !!) and we still have such a long way to goooo. I'm just hoping I can keep this diary up until the end ( whenever that may be ;) ) , thats if I'm not too old. grey and arthritic to type by then !
    :iloveyou: all !!!

bonnington - :rotfl: you made me laugh, actually don't tell anybody....ssshhhhh...... but the cat and I aren't the best off friends !! His loyalties most definitely lie with Mr Pinot as the only other male in the household !!

Happy Now - Hee Hee,I think poor Mr Happy and Mr Pinot are in for some lighthearted ear bashing re all things on the car front over the next few days ! Just think when Mr Happy one day reads your diary and Mr Pinot mine , we may have some explaining to do ! :D

EBay Queen and Brizzled - Thankyou for the lessons re Ash Wednesday and Shrove Tuesday, I really should have paid more attention at school and also to my DD's !! I wonder if I will be asking the same question again this time next year !
DFW - Yes I think you are right, I think we could chat for England you and I. Literally burble on for hours and hours and hours !! :D

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone !! Hey this is sounding like an Oscar speech !!:rotfl:

The euphoria from this afternoons MBNA news has settled down now, Mr Pinot wasn't as excited about it as I hoped, I have yet to get to the bottom of that one, he has been in a weird mood today:huh: ! He was pleased, but maybe because he wasn't doing lots of manic jigging and whooping and groovy dancing up and down the kitchen with me it felt like he wasn't pleased !:( I'm sure he happy in his own special way and was maybe whooping and jigging in his head !)

Yesterday we discovered a yard that is breaking a car the same as mine ! We are on a mission to rebuild him . ( Where was that saying from "We will rebuild you ?!" was it Terminator or going back many years ago the Six Million Dollar Man ? ) Hmm I think I may be showing my age now !! Anyway , thats the plan for my car , so off we tootled to buy some new headlights as mine for some reason are getting very dim. Mr Pinot did get some running lights off of ebay and fitted those last week, but the main headlights are far too dim. The only trouble was when we arrived, the car in question hadn't yet arrived at the breakers yard,so there was nothing for us to see or buy :(, but the man was very apologetic and said he will meet us half way with them when he finally gets them. So the frugal refurb on my car begins in earnest !! Well ish dependent how much cash we have.

It may have to be put on hold though, as after school I took both girls to the opticians. DD1 had been complaining of fuzzy eyes and I thought I should get DD2 tested while we were there. Unfortunately DD2s eyes were worse than DD1 , and they both need glasses. Im am just hoping and praying that the NHS ones these days aren't too bad , and not those lovely pink or blue ones that I remember from my youth ! If not we are in for a hell of a month in March, car tax, car repairs, dishwasher(still), both DD's birthdays and Mr Pinots birthday and four other close family members. Now with glasses as well I am having a bit of a panic.

Rushed back to school last night after the opticians as DD1 this time was singing in the school concert !!:smileyhea.

She was amazing, I know she's mine, but she was sooo good. No hint of nerves and she had so much fun doing her thing on stage ! She even got a special mention from the Headmaster. !! I know I'm showing off now, but I am such a proud mummy !!:T

Well I can still hear Mr Pinots snores, so I think I will grab my pillow and either climb in with one of the girls, or head for the sofa. The spare bed is covered in ebay items waiting to be sold and I really can't be bothered to clear it !

I hope you have all had some lovely ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz's this evening. Mr Pinot is going away for a couple of days tomorrow, so I am looking forward to some peaceful nights, although I will of course miss him !! Best I add that bit !!:rotfl:

well done on you dd's performance :D i was useless at things like that at school i was a big bag of nerves if i had to stand up in front of people :rotfl:

And put the pillow over Mr P's head! My DH always sleeps with a pillow over his now lol. I must wake him up so often about snoring he gets fed up and puts it over his own head :rotfl::rotfl:

Ha Ha !! I was soo tempted to put the pillow on his head and leave it there forever last night :rotfl: The worst thing was when I woke him up to tell him to shut up and stop snoring, he answered rather indignantly, who's snoring ?? Was it me ?? How many other people did he think were in the bedroom with us ?!!!:rotfl: Anyway , needless to say he didn't remember that one this morning.

Yep I'm sure you are right maybe he was playing it cool about MBNA, but I have a sneaky suspicion he is having his man period at the moment !;)

Sorry your dishwasher is still totally dead and buried,. We still haven't had a chance to actually look at ours yet, so it is just sitting redundant in the kitchen . I think I am going to have to draw up a washing up rota though and soon. I can't believe how much moaning I have done these past few weeks about the washing up ! I am obviously far too spoilt.

I have nothing very exciting to report today as I have walked around the house like a zombie due to tiredness. Just trying to summon up some energy for dinner, but I may delegate to DD1 if she's feeling ultra helpful, then the plan is to crash nice and early with a movie, then sleep !

I hope you all have a lovely weekend ? What plans do you all have if any ? Mine are , as usual playing taxi service and housework as I have not had time this week. Cant wait !!! :T :)

Sorry for the boring glum post today ! xx

Note to self, must get some sleep and be joyful by tomorrow !!:j

  • Pop into a well known chemist and pick up some snoring strips. You put one on the roof of your mouth and it dissolves in about 30 seconds and stops you from snoring, or otherwise you snore very quietly. The store does their own make which are cheaper, as we are trying to cut down on our spends.

    I speak from experience. :rotfl:

    Have a good week-end.

bonnington, you are truly a life saver. :kisses3: I will whizz to the nearest well known chemist in the morning ! I haven't heard of remedies that dissolve, I was picturing him with strips stuck on his nose, or some sort of peg like device !!! :rotfl:

  • Mr BR snores horribly and I'm afraid the strips don't work for him, however he has a mouth guard thing that he pops in and, most of the times, he's lovely and quiet!

  • Finally, got a chance to catch up on your diary. It's been a very busy week my first in a while, so all good. I've just been so tired when I got home that all I wanted to do was go to sleep.

Congratulations on the MBNA refund, that was quick. :j:jYou seem to be on a roll at the moment. I'm sure Mr PG was as happy as you were about it, he was probably just tired or as you say having his man period.

I think I need one of those mouth guard things for Mr F. As soon as his head hits the pillow he's starts snoring. He's not quite as loud as he was when I first met him. Back then the whole house could hear him, although that may have been due to the amount of alcohol consumed. :rotfl::rotfl:
