Hiya Hun,
How you doing this morning ? Not surprised you have a mushy brain today.
Yes I did say that I was going to hang onto the cheque for now. It isn't enough to pay off any of the creditors in full, but it should hopefully be enough to offer as a F&F to one or two, dependant on what deal we can strike up. I am going to hide it away for now, as we are so early on in our DMP. I may then look at offering it as an F&F just prior to our review, then if its accepted the payment that would have been made to that creditor can then be split with the others ,therefore keeping them happy for a bit longer ! Well thats the plan anyway ! We have been advised to go in with an offer of 15% initially rising to about 50% ish. But of snow I will sit tight and try and forget that money is sitting there !
Hmm your DS sounds like my DD2 was when she was younger. She decided to try and climb inside a giant vase we used to have sitting in our hallway, fell in head first, toppled it over and the whole thing came smashing to the ground with her inside ! Wasn't funny at the time but now when I think back it makes me giggle ! She was an absolute little tike though ! we even had to take all the stair gates down at 18 months as she was more of a danger to herself with them installed than not at all. She managed to find a way to climb over the top of them and escape anyway, she was so determined. Also climbed out of the windows one day and took herself off for a walk 1! I could go on forever with stories of her antics ! DD1 though was a total angel, and never seemed to get into any mischief at all ! !:ALBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I feel sooo guilty !
DD2 informed me last night she had been chosen to sing a solo in church this morning and would I be able to go and watch. I knew I would be working but promised I would try and find out the time and go. The problem is to hear her sing a 2 min song, I have to sit through a whole hour and a half church Service. Apparently its Ash Wednesday. I must confess to not being religious, but DD2 is at a Catholic school, so I do make sure I support the school, church etc. Anyway, basically I have forgotten to go. Came home from School Run, done a few jobs (washing, beds, washing up ,) came on here, then started work and have just looked at the time and realised I totally forgot to go.
Do I pretend I was there hiding at the back and congratulate her on her beautiful singing, or confess to forgetting ?!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Would she sing it for you all at home?

She was singing it at the top of her voice all of last night and all through breakfast this morning, so I definitely have no real need to hear it again, as lovely as it was of course !! Apparently she needed me to look at while she sang as she gets nervous ! I did tell her to imagine everyone naked but that didn't go down too well !! Think I traumatised the poor child at the thought of the vicar / priest and all the teachers naked !:rotfl: !) Such a terrible mummy !!
Such is the trauma of all of this , I have yet again eaten two custard doughnuts as just reported on Alices diary, washed down with copious amounts of coffee !
Thankyou Alice for your comments, I'm not a great liar either. Knowing my luck I will pretend I went, tell her how beautifully she sang, and she will tell me that they changed her mind and she didn't sing after all and totally catch me out !:pLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I would tell the truth if it were me, i hate lying to the kids (hubby is different i'd have said i was there hiding at back for him haha) and buy her a nice sweet treat or something to make it up! I may have told a little white lie though, saying i got stuck in traffic, desperately tried to make it but by the time i arrived it had all finished
(bad mummy)
And stair gates!!!! My ds2 & in fact ds1 both outgrew stair gates at the grand age of 12 months (or thereabouts) as soon as they could stand up on two feet the pair of them could climb! They are like twins born 11 years apart :rotfl: My family didnt believe me until visiting one day and ds2 couldn't even walk yet and yet he pulled himself up on the gate and literally threw himself over it  dd was a year older than him and couldn't do that lol! I had to take them down as like you say he was in more danger with them up!! throwing himself head first up and down stairs :eek::eek::eek::rotfl: and your story about your dd made me chuckly reminds me of something my ds would do :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. This evening ,I think I am potentially about to dish up the worst entire meal of my life to my poor unsuspecting family !
As January was so quiet business wise, we have had less money coming in this month, so in an effort to draw the purse strings in even further, I have refrained from grocery shopping at all if I can help it. The freezer and the cupboards now look very very sorry for themselves indeed, but all the bills have been paid so thats good !!
So , after rummaging today all that was left in the freezer was some frozen prawns, and some tuna, oh and a tub of creme egg ice cream and some ice lollies ! Thinking I read somewhere about a fishy type curry to be made in the slow cooker, I decided to sling my own conncotion together, prawns, tuna, couple of tins of toms, bit of curry paste an onion and some broccoli, oh and some ginger and garlic. I thought I would serve with some nice fluffy rice and naan bread.
OMG the smell !!!! The house reeks like a fishmongers. Ive had a very tentative taste and it is truly awful !!:D
Really not sure I will be able to convince the Pinot family to eat this particular delight.............................................:eek:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I almost want to try it just to see hehehe. I hope your DD forgives you for not going, although if you blame it on cooking tonights dinner she really won't be best pleased. I'd say you got caught up with work, then offer to make it up in a MSE way of course, maybe a nice walk somewhere to have some mother/daughter time. I think the worst bit about parents not turning up is that you feel quite let down and hurt that they're too busy, so you end up disappointed that you're not important enough. My parents were always too busy, and still are in fact but nevermind. I wouldn't do the "next time I'll definitely make it" thing though, or make up a white lie. Better to agree, and do some special time instead
Good luck with dindins, and did I congratulate you on MBNA yet? If not *claps hands rapidly* wooohoooDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thanks Kerri, she was actually fine. I told her I got all the times mixed up, she's used to me doing that !!
Infact she said "you've have never missed anything before and you are the mummy that always makes time to go no matter how busy you are " . :A What a sweetie !! She said it went well, her voice was a bit shaky at the beginning, but apparently it was really really boring and it was probably lucky for me that I didn't go !!
Phew ! thats one worry to cross off of the list, now onto dinner !!!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Can't wait to hear how you get on with dinner.
I arrived home to half a bunny, the cat ate the other half, I have explained it's a little early for easter bunny but he's not having it!

Oh no !!! Not bunny parts everywhere !
Your description of this really made me laugh, sorry but ....... How did the cat get the bunny, or wasn't it your bunny ? If it was your bunny and you are upset then I'm sorry, I know if our bunny was eaten we would be really upset.
Many years go, my Niece climbed into bed one night to find a bunny head in there with her, kindly left as a pressie for her by her beloved cat ! It reiminded me of the scene with the horses head from the Godfather, but with the horse replaced by a bunny !
Hope you aren't too traumatised this evening xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
