Hey Mrs PG..did you google Remoska??!!

I didn't get a glass last night...got distracted but have made up for it this eve with a large glass of Sauvignon blanc...not PG but it'll do!!

Well done on persevering on the charges everyone..it really important that banks understand what they have put you guys through so claim if you can/have a case. Intriguing to see that some banks are going to claw back bonuses from the senior managers involved in the PPI industry hey?!

Thanks for the PM too.. Will try that!:-)

On the airer...I do think that there is a balance to be struck between things that can be mended, and can be kept going and things that take so much, drain your life energy that actually they need to be replaced and it's a legitimate expense. Do you know what I mean? Life is stressful enough...do you really need to be wrestling with a substandard:rotfl: dryer too??! Te other thing is to request one from Freecycle..you never know!

    Take care x

Hi Pinot, I like your lists :) especially seeing the nice big red dones :)

My OH uses bungee cords to keep his airer going even though it should be stooped on the floor. If you have any you could give it a go. I saw heated airers the other day, no idea how they work but I am intrigued

Yes i did and it looks like a great idea ! I think I will read up on it a bit more though. My only worry is that the Remoska could become one of those items thats a good idea at the time but then gets banished to the back of the cupboard, but thats never happened with my slow cooker so maybe not. It would be nice to hear form someone who has one to see how much use they get out of it !

I hope you enjoy your Plonk de Plonk tonight as Sauvignon is known as in the Pinot Household ! I have had two beautifully chilled glasses of Pinot with a friend served in some gorgeous glasses which I swear were nearly as big as my face !

I think as far as the dryer is concerned it had become a bit of a challenge to see how long I could keep the blasted thing going before it collapsed entirely, but I feel that sadly, it now needs to be sent to the Airer Graveyard in the Sky . It has served me well , and for that I am truly thankful !!! I'm loving the idea it has been draining my life energy all this time ! Could I use the same excuse with the housework and the ironing do you think ?! :)

Sadly Kerri as above, there appears to be no going back and even bungee cords won't rescue it now ! They are handy though , I keep them in the car, just incase !!

I have been looking at the heated dryers, I think they are a great idea and apparently economical to run. We have a tiny room though that is always boiling hot, so I don't really need one, but I think they are great if you usually end up having to try and dry things on the radiators .

Ooh I didn't realise they were economical *runs to goggle for reviews*. I always use airers, so maybe a special purchase is required when I kick the next creditor to the kerb..hmmm...

  • You go girl !! Bet those creditors are quaking in their boots now that you are in full swing !!

My sister has been making noises about buying a heated dryer, so if she does I will keep you posted what she thinks of it !

pfft £85 is the cost of the one I liked the look of most. I think I'll stick with the 2 normal ones I've got, I always leave the washing hanging up for days anyway.

  • Yep they are quite pricey aren't they ? I think the ones I saw were Lake£and , but I can't for the life of me remember how much they were, I thought they were over a £100. Am sure there are cheaper ones to be found somewhere.

In the meantime if the old trusty ones are doing the job you could stick with them until they fall apart like mine ! I have just worked out that mine is 10 years old, so its not done bad x

  • morning pinot & everyone else :)

I bought a nice airer from a$da only £14. My darling little son decided to use it as a climbing frame. It lasted 2 days:wall: i went on my local freecycle type page on fb and requested one and i had an offer of one within 5 mins :T it is great....small son proof, about 30 years old.....meaning it is WELL MADE :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and i am looking to ask for another one to add to it soon (for free of course lol)

I had my washing out for the first time the other day. It wasn't sunny (our garden gets it first thing & last thing & then shady all day grr) but the wind was enough to dry it :T........been raining since though!

Ohhhh and excellent news on the MBNA cheque :T have you chosen who you will pay off with that? or are you saving it for now as just started on dmp (i think you might have said this before, my brain is like a sieve though) :D
