Thankyou everyone, and brizzled a frothy tankard of Pinot sounds just what the doctor ordered !! Well not at 9am, but maybe later !
Well as I have been AWOL ish again, I need to get motivated on the diary front, and catch up on everyone else's and see what you all have been doing.
I re read the letter again from MBNA last night and it looks as though they have refunded the £992 I requested which included 8% interest and also all interest charged on the account over the last 6 years.I won't be paying that straight to the creditors. We have decided to pay it into the F&F fund we are building up rather than pay it off immediately.(Although a new dishwasher is also sounding rather tempting !!) That particular account has been defaulted on and passed to Westcot, hence us receiving a cheque rather than it being paid straight off off of the balance on the account. If we choose one particular person i.e. MBNA then the others may jump up and down and feel left out and get narky, and I don't really want to split it up between them all and they then start getting greedy asking us to up our payments each month etc. As its still early days and we have a few months until our first review, we will save it and then maybe look at offering it as a Full and Final somewhere near our review date. I will have a chat later today with our Cashflow advisor and see if he thinks it is the way to go.
Mr Pinot was pleased with his Free Valentines card (it was very rude so had to be hidden from the girls :rotfl:) , we had a curry and some Pinot ,then I fell asleep in the chair totally exhausted after the funeral. Thankyou to you all for your kind words. Its been a tough old week so far, but I am going to dust myself down today and get jolly and happy !! The girls have been sooo busy this week with friends, rushing here and there, its lovely to see them having so much fun, but I don't feel I have had them both in the house at the same time yet this week ! Today though they have no plans, so we can spend a day together. I try not too work too much in the holidays if I can help it, do the bare minimum I can get away with and spend time with them if I can and it generally works well although next week I will be in panic mode !
Been meaning to sign up to NetFlix all week and have just gone to do it, but it looks like you need to do it via Facebook. Is that right does anybody know, or am I looking at it all wrong ? I don't have Facebook and would rather not do it via DD1s account. Mr Pinot does have Facebook although don't think he's used it since last summer .
Just had an email in from Green Metropolis and I have sold another book ! I think there is about £15 in the sold books account now !:D
We have relisted last weeks item on ebay and its due to end on Fri evening now, fingers crossed it will sell this time, as its getting on my nerves now in the dining room and taking up loads of room. We have two more items of furniture up for sale, also finishing Fri and I have two coats to list as well. Mr Pinot has asked me to weigh them, so I need to remember to do that today !
I am planning a day of cleaning and catching up on washing and spending some time with the girls today and not much more !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Wow Pinot sounds busy and like you've had a rollercoaster of a time. Congrats on the MBNA money.Number of debts between us - 3 (2 @ 0%)0

Yep Shelski, its been a roller coaster these few weeks !! Keeps me out of mischief though !:D
I will defiantly look at NetFlix, I will have a chat with Mr Pinot about using his Facebook later. That cash back came through so quickly DFW !
I'm sulking a bit now, I put £50 in the car on Monday afternoon , it half filled the tank, and today its just about to go into the red ! Can you believe it ?! When I am rich and debt free I am going to buy a little smart car I think !:D
Just sorted through an old box looking for bits to sell. It was filled with notebooks going back years and years. They made for one hell of a read, they were basically pages and pages and pages of numbers, more numbers totals and lists of who to juggle from to pay Paul etc etc. Why oh why did we carry on juggling, remortgaging etc etc for all those years ?! In my heart of hearts I knew what we had to do, but the so called professionals just told us to go onto a DMP would be financial suicide ! How wrong they were ! What they were all advising was the Financial Suicide. Why did we listen to other people and not ourselves ? All hindsight now I know, but never the less sometimes I can't help getting angry by it all.
But........................... on the plus side, when we are DF, I will cherish those books and this diary and be proud of what we have achieved against all odds ! Maybe I will even print and frame Pinots National Debt Spreadsheet, the before and the after !! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Noodles, sweet and sour chicken ( burnt unfortunately as I wandered off to chat to Mr Pinot and forgot all about it !) and some broccoli for tonight's late dinner !
Even though it was burnt it went down a treat ! Ive somehow managed to avoid doing too much shopping this month, and am eating out of the cupboards again. I need to update my spreadsheets actually and see who much I have actually spent on food. Ive been a bit lax with the budgets ( not overspending, but not keeping track as well as I should) . Partly because the money situation this month has been a bit dire and Ive been unable to pay us quite what we need and another because my head has been so full of too many other things that have been going on
Note to self - get organised again for March !!
Tomorrow Mr Pinot is taking a day off !! Whoopee !!! The first in a few weeks and we are going to take the girls out for the day. Something cheap and cheerful but fun, just not decided what yet !:)LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I'm back again !!
Forgot to say the girls and I had our hair cuts today ! Not that you really need to know that:rotfl:, but I'm telling you because it was all paid for from our pots !!:j I put haircut money from Jan and Feb in the pots and it not only paid for us all, I have £14 spare to go towards the next haircut !! It was such a lovely feeling !!
The haircut budget was one of things I was most excited about when I made my original very tearful call to the CCCS, when the man told me that I could not only go on a DMP but still be allowed haircuts, I could have kissed and hugged him through the phone !:T
So, we now have lovely shiny swishy hair and money still in the pot !! :TLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I have the same issue. I know we've had a few (perhaps even many) NSD for Feb but I haven't really kept track since my changed my 'tally up the money' method. I'll have to go back to the 'daily note' method I think.PinotGrigio41 wrote: »
You may remember I have been burbling on about 3 different MBNA credit card charge reclaims I have had on the go. One of which I requested £992 to be refunded and they offered me £113 which I wrote back and declined, but they sent me the cheque for anyway.
I have just got home and on the doormat was a lovely letter from MBNA with regards to this. They have offered me in addition to the £113 they have already sent,an extra £2330.00 :j I can't quite believe it, basically they have refunded me every charge over the last 6 years including interest, even those I didn't ask for !!!
That is fantastic news!!!

Ooh a day out with Mr PG and the girls, what a treat. Every time we try to organize a day/trip out something crops up.
Hair cut, what's one of them? hahaha.Seriously, I've haven't been to the hairdressers in nearly months, good job I have long straight hair that I can trim myself. I did have a hairdressing budget but at the moment, for a number of reasons, this has been blown on DS2. Fortunately Mr F doesn't have any hair and DS1 allows me to cut using hair clippers!
