  • Thanks for posting HH, I was thinking about you yesterday . Really glad to hear things are good for you. Still as impatient as ever I see, but who am I to talk !

Sadly Mr PG will be wearing neither suit nor mankini , although that would have been fun. We both have a crazy week ahead and cant get to the bank in person until at least Thursday but we aren't waiting until then.

From chatting to Mr PG, the Account Manager is new, sounds very young and we think he has come in wanting to make a name for himself. The overdraft is used often but is in credit at times although not all of the time particularly over the last few months. There was no stipulation when it was taken out two years ago that it had to be in the black for a certain period of time and in those two years we have had no other dealings with the previous Account Manager , she has left us be and the account has plodded along nicely. They are trying to either force us into a loan which will be a personal loan ( good luck with that !! :rotfl:) or a Business Credit Card on 0% for three months by which time we have to have cleared the £5000 they are going to put on it . I would be very surprised if we can get the card also, and we dont want it anyway !

I am not letting it worry me, what will be will be. Mr PG is talking to the Numpty again tomorrow but he clearly has no idea or understanding of the nature of our business either. As Mr PG and I said, even if they say they will reduce the overdraft by say £500 every couple of months to get it down or paid off that is preferable and do able assuming the work comes in, but to pull the plug instantly stinks. The funny thing is is that we do alot of work for B@rcl@ys in a roundabout way , unbeknown to Mr Account Manager and have Hob Nobbed with B2rcl@ys top bods whereby they all pat each other on the back telling each other how wonderful B2rcl@ys is to their sm@ll Businesses . Think we may have a few tricks up our sleeve although obviously the ultimate decision isn't down to him.

We will see what comes of it...................................nothing to have sleepless nights over. We had to personally guarantee the overdraft , so will take the account elsewhere and stick the overdraft on the DMP if they push us.

That should do the trick, good luck with it

Hope you can get something sorted. Stupid banks
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • I'm sure they won't want to lose your business permanently so you would think it was in their best interest to reduce slowly. Silly banks. My biggest debt is with b@rclays!

  • Hi Mrs PG, I have been lurking for a long time on your diary following your ups and downs.

Before you rush into cancelling the account make sure you have another business account open ready. I wasn't able to open a business bank account due to my personal history even though my business has no debts, loans, HP's or anything. They are really strict and they would check your history personally to score you for the business account. This is whether you are ltd or not. I even asked for a basic business account with just a bank card, no credit or OD.

Thanks all for Your comments , I will answer but week mad as ever.

In honour of some of my friends on here I am going to update very quickly with a Good Things and Bad Things List.

    GOOD THINGS

It was my birthday on Monday, it was a lovely day and I was very vey spoilt by my family and friends.

The business bank account is in credit :D

21K of our debts have now been put on hold either as they are in dispute or CCA 's can't be provided. Long may that continue. I may even update my signature :D

Sadly think that's it with the Good Things !!

    BAD THINGS

DD2 had another accident, I discovered her flat on her back in the middle of the road having hit a stone whilst speeding on her scooter. She somersaulted over the handlebars cutting and bruising her face, head, arms, chin, hips, shins, thighs , elbows and hands . Cue lots of blood and a despairing Mrs PG ! She is taped , plastered and bandaged up to the Ying Yang !

Stolen money not yet been refunded.

Meeting with Mr Jumped Up Account Manager scheduled for tomorrow face to face ? I am practising my battle stance in preparation !

The Computer died last night. I was working, it went fizz bang and turned off. At 1am this morning it sprung to lifeish . Opened up the desktop but nothing more. Need Mr PG home to se a look as it is urgently unusable :(

My car as broken down again. This time on the way to a meeting. I abandoned vehicle, took a cab to the station where Mr PGs car was parked and went on my merry way. I will have to go and collect him tonight and then we will drive over to my car and see if we can limp it home ! :rotfl:

DD2 had an argument with a thorny bush ! She has deep thorn embedded in her thumb, now swollen and yucky . More digging around with tweezers for me tonight !

Mr PGs car has had warning lights appear today "Speed System is faulty " apparently. Fab !

DD1 sent home from school today after being in sick in the playground. I canceled my appointments and drove home to pick her up, she is fast asleep in bed . :( what is it with me and sickly kids and the moment.

Right that's it for me ow, on the iPad and I find it a pain to type x x

Back later to catch up with you all hopefully .
    X x
