    Firstly poor Bast sorry to hear about your loss honey, is it gone completely or something you may get back? {{{{{hugs}}}}

    Now Dear Mrs PG, thank you for my spa break, I am loving it here. I used Dot's magic hat to transport me here with its magical powers as all the hat needs is a kindly suggestion from a loved one. Tomorrow I am having a back, neck and shoulders massage, followed by chocolate wrap and facial, topped off with a luxury mani and pedi. So much nicer than going to work. Please use the hat and join me x

    With slightly more sensible head on, I think you need to write to both dratted THEM and Fred unfortunately as these things don't just go away by themselves. Probably THEY passed the debt on before you paid it but THEY conveniently failed to notify Fred. Best bite the bullet on that one I think and send it recorded as suggested by NL. You have enough to worry about without this unnecessary worry adding to it.

    Perth sounds wonderful, I too will join you, well between my trips back and forth to Sydney as that is where my darling DD is. Will have 2 squirming suitcases with me though as cannot leave DGDs behind. May even take DS and DDIL too as they are pretty special as well.

    Anyway, I hope things let up a bit soon as I can feel your stress from here.

    Lots of love Granny - see you in the spa tomorrow?

    x

    That was lovely thank you......... x :) The one thing that all the women have in common on these boards is that they are tough little cookies, supportive of family and friends ... So like them I shall have my little wobble, (which actually measured quite small on the richter scale of wobbles this time:) ) pick myself up and carry on. Rather peed off as I have been forgoing wine to save money.... :) x

    Edited : to say : Granny that helped hugely x

  • bast - I am sorry to hear about the money. Thats a total nightmare, poor you. You sound as though you are struggling too at the moment, I am sending lots of hugs your way although they arent as posh as Grannies !! My smile is definitely slipping and when I look in the mirror I see a not very happy, stressed out person which I am sure others are now seeing. I don't really like her very much and would like to kick her into touch and see the back of her.....sooner rather than later :o

    I too have been forgoing wine to save money..... I feel your pain !! :D

    Granny - I am so glad you enjoyed the spa break, you really do deserve it! :rotfl:Yes I need to write to both THEM and Freds. I will write firstly to THEM and ask them to send me a statement to show I have paid in full, although I know that I have. I already have dealings with Freds for another debt, they are a load of numptys , they don't concern me but its just another thing to deal with that I don't really want to at the moment. I should actually send them a "prove it" letter I believe ,if I were to follow procedures correctly rather than jumping in and admitting there was a debt but its now paid. So, I will get THEM to send me a statement and also tell THEM to tell Fred's to get of of my case for starters I think.

    Mrs B - The Marmalade sounds lovely, isn't OH good making all of that ? ! Im not sure Mr PG would know where to start, actually neither would I for that matter !

    The Contract could lead to more good things as you say. We have worked for these people in the past about four times now, but they have some big projects going on and with the state of the "official day job" at the moment , if we could go from this job into something else it would be good, although it would have to be a tad less stressful. He is putting his reputation on the line in a way as if we cant pull it out of the bag and get this contract done in the ridiculously short space of time they have given ( which they are well aware is a nigh on impossibility ) it could work against us . Mr PG put his time sheet into them last night, 98 hours for last week :eek: without the picture making and the work done for other clients. Thats not healthy :( Ok Im burbling now so will stop .

    You an all come to Perth with us, be it Scotland or Oz although I suspect despite my love of snow I would prefer the climate in Oz far more. I did broach the subject with Mr PG when I finally spoke to him around midnight. He murmered his approval being falling into a deep snorey sleep ! ;)

  • I think whats getting to me is that work was sooooooo quiet Dec and Jan whereas usually we would manage its now getting so dire. The money we are waiting on is for the work done in those months and as there wasnt much of it anyway we really really need it.

    Its been mentioned in passing to family when they ask me why have I not bought presents for DD1s birthday yet or why arent I doing this and that. I have tried saying work was quiet, we entertained all of you at Xmas, we are having trouble getting paid. The answer is always the same. " Oh Dear,Never Mind !" I am not sure what they all think we are living on . If someone in paid employment didnt get their pay cheque on the last Friday of the month for example, they would be up in arms as would all around them. The bills still need paying , they dont go away. Yet everyone around us thinks we are rolling around in so much money that it really doesn't affect us and it doesn't matter that we have had barely any money into the account for nearly three months. Its driving me mad.:mad:

    Oh sorry, I am going off on one now. Best I stop and get chasing this money and writing some letters. xx :o
