So today the postman has delivered another letter from Freds re the HMRC malarky ! This time its the doorstep visit threat ! :j:j
I have a sense of deja vu, was I not dealing with this sort of carp mail this time last year ?! I thought I had got past all of this nonsense. My fault I should have paid , it was £300 after all but I was so busy concentrating on the Corporation tax from last year it went right out of my head. Silly Mrs Pinot
Anyway the silly bu££ers are too lazy to visit , and if they do its paid anyway. I have just fired off a letter to THEM in relation to the above, asked for a statement to show paid in full, infact overpaid and told them to tell Freds to get off of my case. I have written another to Freds but not sent that yet. I have posted elsewhere for advise on this one. I have a feeling if I admit that there was a debt and make contact its not the best thing to do , I think a prove it letter is in order, but I have posted the question and will await an answer from other knowledgeable people. If I dont get a response I will send it anyway, I dont owe them anything so its not worth worrying about, its just hassle I dont want at the end of the day .LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hi PG
I feel your pain. An exercise class teacher once thought it was ok to say to the whole class that everyone was struggling with £££s except Satchmo, because I was self employed and drove a nice-ish car. The fact that me and my DH each worked a 60 hour week was neither here nor there, she was bang out of order!
On another, much worse, note. I paid for a new boiler and fitting, on the basis that it would be fitted when my v.small terrace house was due to be sold. It's at the final stages, and the plumber isn't answering my calls. I've put in a complaint to Trading Standards, and resorted to tweeting him, even the Estate Agent is chasing him. I need the money from the sale of the house to clear debts. I've no idea what to do to solve this. Should I involve the police, as it amounts to theft?
If I hadn't given up drinking I'd be guzzling wine. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -

Oh Satchmo, I have and still do find myself in similars situations to the one you describe. Because we, like you ,work all of the hours under the sun, it never crosses peoples minds that we may be doing it because we have to not because we necessarily want to. But these people have no right whatsoever to presume. I have had to distance myself from my friends these last couple of years as I couldn't cope any longer with their presumption that we were the rich family amongst us all. If there was a suggestion to go somewhere, they always said that they couldnt afford it as they were waiting for pay day so could we just pay for everyone and they would pay us back as and when, or could we put it on our credit card for them ! Im afraid I blew a fuse during a meal one time when it was suggested we were in a position to sub 8 London Theatre tickets and overnight hotel accomodation. The reality was we had £15 in the bank and no idea when we would get paid and no credit cards. Similar situation to the one we find ourselves in today ! It was during the same conversation that they declared that Mr PG was only going away to work abroad for four months ,so that he could bring a huge stash of cash home and then sit counting his cash and take months off of work as we were so wealthy while the rest of them struggled. I'm afraid I walked out and haven't been back since !
Re the plumber..........................I cant believe this has happened to you. I Am so angry . Have you asked for advice on CAG or L£gal B3agles ? They are fantastic over there for these sort of matters. . I would assume you can involve the police , as you say surely it is theft ? Please keep in touch and let me know how you get on . No one deserves this.
Your story would be enough to turn me to the drink ! I had given up the wine, not just for financial reasons, but Mr PG has just walked through the door and I announced that I will be pouring myself a VERY large glass of wine tonight, ( if there is any in the house ) if he cares to join me !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

As if Im not enough of a nervous wreck today as it is, DD1 has just come to me very upset. Someone has just posted the following on her twitter -
" DD1 you b*tch, text me or DM me NOW. You are an absolute b*tch"
DD1 was completely taken aback, her phone then started going crazy with all the people that had seen it asking what was going on with DD1 and the Twitterer. DD1 has been ill and off school, she had no idea. She decided unbeknown to me to text the girl. Had she told me first I wouldn't have allowed that, as the girl clearly didn't have her number or she would have text her in the first place. Anyway she now has DD's number.
The response, which was posted on Twitter and also sent via text was " Right well I have three things I need to speak to you about b*tch. You listen hard and you listen carefully. Have I got your attention now ? Good, right, fabulous ! Lets begin shall we ? '
At this point DD is white as a sheet. She didnt respond but again all of her school friends are reading these messages on Twitter and think there is a huge problem. I was stressing out at yet another school issue. The girl in question is an acquaintance, not a friend. They rarely speak and DD had problems with this girls best friend about a year back when the best friend threatened to put DD in hospital because a boy she liked happened to like DD as well. Any other day I would have bee much calmer , but today's not my calm day, other things have been going on on top of things I have posted and I lost the plot.
Anyway to cut a long story short...........the eventual response to the three things the girls had a problem with were as follows:-
1. Why has DD unfollowed her on Twitter ?
2. Why dont they talk much anymore ?
3. She wanted DD's number and didnt have it....but she does now.
What is the world coming to, when a young girl posts potentially threatening and worrying messages for everyone to see all over another girls account, simply for the reasons above and apparently for a bit of a laugh. I'm not laughing. She thinks its funny. I dont. Is this normal behaviour ? I dont trust the girl entirely. I am concerned she now has DD's number. DD screen grabbed the Twitter Posts before they were deleted just incase this escalates. She has now deleted the messages at DD's request after she told her I knew about them. Mr PG has just been told and gone mental.
Is it me ? I am sitting here shaking like a leaf. I am not sure if its anger, or if I am just losing it. One thing on top of another today it seems.
DD2 has just arrived with a glass of wine. Boy do I need it this evening !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
