£402 shown up in account this morning. I suppose I should be jumping for joy, but I'm not. I have paid £35 to THEM this morning , they want a minimum of £500 a month, they have had ,as of this morning about £65 instead this month, that wont keep them happy.
I have put £67 back into the VAT Account. It is dwindling fast and there is currently £2000 less in there than there should be. I need to pay them by 7th March so something needs to change and swiftly.
I now owe £4000 on the mortgage, that's January and Feb payments. My car tax due end of month. Mr PG still needs to get to and from work.
I MUST pay the council tax overdue from January although Feb's is now due. I dont have enough to pay all of it . I will pay January today, that's £270. Leaving me the grand total of £30. I have direct debits due out today, I haven't looked to see what they are or how much.
I haven't paid the predators yet this month either.
This is getting dire.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Aw PG, I know just how you feel. That used to happen to me all the time when I was running my business. Some companies seem to forget that we are even smaller than they are and, as you say, we have no cash flow at all. I really do hope they pay you soon so you can get on top of your payments.

I think you need to make sure the people you owe money to know your situation. They might give you a little more time
I think you might have to try.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Massive hugs Mrs PG
sounds like you really need it.
Regarding the car tax...Post Office do a card you can put money on each month so you can save up over the year for the car tax. Would £20 a month put aside be something you could do? I know your situation is dire but if you could do that then you wouldn't have to worry this time next year/6 months about where the hell the money for the car is coming from. Also, that's only £4 a week or a cheap bottle of plonk xxxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Yes NL we have done that, thankyou ! They say they will pay it on the next payment run ( they are neglecting at the moment to confirm when that will be ) That invoice is only for £300 though ! Its not going to go very far !!
It will all be ok, once the money for this current job starts coming in, its keeping the wolf from the door right now that's the problem. Once the Contract starts paying we should be able to play catch up.
Oh just looked at the direct debits due out today, £237  Perhaps I wont pay the council tax after all. They may just have to wait a little longer.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Thanks Kerri, I didn't realise the tax office had that card, that's interesting. I do actually save the tax monthly in another account, but having had barely any money come in since early December, everything has been raided to rob Peter to pay Paul.
Changing the subject, I saw you over on the Cinema Tickets thread the other day, are you managing to make use of the tickets now you are in sunny Wales ? xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Right, so I have paid the Direct Debits but not the council Tax. I am having a think about that one I have about £500 left int he VAT account, I could use that, but then thats it. Emergency funds, all savings been totally drained. If I use the remainder of the VAT money I'm not sure where that leaves us.
Actually I do know, it leaves us high and dry, no way of covering direct debits, food or fuel to get to and from work. I don't want to leave us totally up sh*t creak without a paddle if money doesn't come in. Other invoices are due by the end of next week, not enough to cover everything that's owing, but if they are paid on time it will start to remedy the situation.
Mr PG needed every day on the contract next week which we thought by now may be down to a couple of days a week at this stage but seemingly not. He is working Saturday for another client and then working from home Sunday as well. No rest for him sadly, or me really as I pick up the pieces and slack elsewhere. We both look like the walking dead, but hey ho !
But in good news, I do actually have some this week instead of being a grumpy moany old boot.........we have just taken a potential booking in July, for about three weeks. Its overseas, but it looks interesting. If our client gets the bid, we are on the job. Fingers crossed xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I see where you are coming from Skint, sadly I would rather not go down that route. Its such a small industry, everyone knows everyone else and before we know it news would spread like wildfire that we are in difficulties. That wouldn't be good for us.
I will baton down the hatches, juggle those balls and get us through this mess somehow.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
