Seriously? PINK geraniums? No wonder he complained ....:rotfl::rotfl:
I've been so lucky with ebay so far, I have only come across lovely buyers and sellers. I've not bought or sold much yet though, so I'm sure it will happen.......
Frightening amounts. And wow to a card with no limits!:eek: Was it still interest-free when you paid it all off each month?
On the positive side (there always is one!) these figures prove that we could both have done even more damage than we actually did!!
Yep absolutely scary. The card came with the bank account, that the bank decided to upgrade us to and suggested that we take this card to help us with cash flow. Subsequently they have now been withdrawn I understand. I believe there were mnay people who ended up having to use it as we did and ended up in a pickle.
In principle it sounded a good idea. But in the end we were using it to live, draw cash and pay all business expenses. One month we had £9000 of business expenses and then we also used it to live on as we hadn't been paid. We then had to clear that bill in full , but the expenses hadnt been re imbursed and we hadnt been paid either ,so ended up drawing cash from another credit card to pay off that bill and so the merry go round continued !! On another occasion as we couldnt settle the bill, the bank increased our overdraft to pay the bill, then when everything went well and truly pear shaped in 2010, they withdrew the overdraft overnight with no notice. We happened to be paid that day so had no access to any money whatsoever as it was swallowed up. They then demanded the overdraft be paid off in full in 3 months, it was £15,000. We couldnt guarantee that, ended up with their risk management team and now have £35,000 bank loan!! Which brings us to todayCest La Vie !!
It was interest free, but as we were paying it off using another card we then obviously were getting stung with interest. Sadly by then we were in a viscious circle that was then hard to get out of.
Had I known then what I know now, things could have been oh so different.:o
Quite embarrassing really telling that story, I wonder if there is anything much left that you lot dont know about me now ?! :rotfl:

I haven't had a holiday since 2008. I would be devastated if, when I finally get one, the geraniums were the wrong colour....
You can come camping with us Piq !!! :rotfl:
I actually cannot stand geraniums in any colour, so I would never have gone in the first place if that was what was promised to me in the plant pot !
The family arriving to book a naturist holiday was another interesting day ! :eek:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I think it was more a case of "How could we have been so stupid as to take the banks advice, and use the cards, take up the offer of overdrafts etc etc " No cards have been used since 2010 and I can honestly say that its the best thing that ever happened to us. We havent starved and we still have a roof over our heads. .............
For now at least !! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I have just signed up for free N0ddle credit reports for Mr PG and I.
I wanted to make sure that the debts we thought had been passed on were with the Companies we thought they were and also that every debt had now been defaulted .
All was well with the above , although we are linked to an address neither of us have ever heard of and my name is apparently incorrect on the electoral role and Mr PG doesnt appear to even live with me ! Not sure if thats good news or not ! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

In actual fact Mrs P G.. that is scary a card with no limits.. I am appalled now what they offered us ... and that we accepted... no business needs... just lets have it now......... It honestly was not greed... Just we both worked so hard we felt we needed "stuff". and two kids at uni at the same time "sigh"..... But I now look back and think... God our mortgage could of been paid off... We could be living the dream but for "stuff"... Oh wonderful hindsight... x Still glad we helped the kids though:).... Apart from son needing new car (horrendous accident) they are debt free...:) (well uni loans!!)0
