Have to agree with you there !

I remember when I worked in retail booked a couple a luxurious hotel for the week. When they came home they lodged a complaint. The reason being that colour of the geraniums in the plant pots around the pool (pink) were not the same colour as those pictured in the brochure (red) from which he had chosen his hotel. Therefore was totally misleading and wanted compensation for loss of enjoyment whilst on holiday and a written apology ! The guy was completely and utterly serious and the complaint went backwards and forwards for six months. I cant remember the outcome in the end sadly ! x

Aww Mrs PG this is the very reason I dislike fleabay. Most people are honest folk (like us) just trying to make a few extra £'s (like us) but then you get somebody come along and spoil it. The same at carboots haggling over an item you paid £25 for that you are selling to them for 50p and they say will you except 40p ......slight exaggeration but you get my drift.

Keep up the good work, you're doing great.xx

Seriously? PINK geraniums? No wonder he complained ....:rotfl::rotfl:

I've been so lucky with ebay so far, I have only come across lovely buyers and sellers. I've not bought or sold much yet though, so I'm sure it will happen.......
I have copied and pasted what I posted on Ms Happys diary for myself . It makes interesting reading for me and is also a great reminder of how far we have come, yet also how far still ahve yet to travel . Sadly I know where the majority of the spends went, as I have said before, and it wasnt on the coveted Jimmy Choos or Louboutins. But here it is in all its glory !

£78,000 credit limits, but I also had the dubious pleasure of having a credit card with NO LIMIT ! Thats what we lived on when cashflow was tight or to pay THEM . The only rule being that it was paid off in full each month. I could spent up to about £15,000 a month if I wished but if I wanted more I needed to ask first ! Crazy ! all in all a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul .

In additional £25,000 of overdrafts and the mortgage from hell !

How are we still sane - ish ??? Infact I'm probably not !

Infact I am going to repost this on my own diary, for my own benefit really just to remind myself what a muddle it all was and how far we have come x :D

Frightening amounts. And wow to a card with no limits!:eek: Was it still interest-free when you paid it all off each month?

On the positive side (there always is one!) these figures prove that we could both have done even more damage than we actually did!!

Thank the gods that I didn't know/was given a card with no limit. I'd have used it and the financial situation would have been even more dire than it was when the lightbulb finally lit.

I haven't had a holiday since 2008. I would be devastated if, when I finally get one, the geraniums were the wrong colour....

I did reply with a very curt, but polite message that the item would be posted today and that I had five working days to dispatch the item as per the listing and I was sorry that he felt he should have received the item by now, two days later. He possibly saw the error of his ways and responded with a very pleasant, thankyou, thats fantastic reply. I wish he had been so polite in the first place.

He also managed to put me in a very grumpy mood for some reason. Poor Mr PG couldnt quite understand why one silly ebayer could give me the grumps so much :o
