  • Dropping by really quickly to say I have found my first road kill today ! :T:T the grand sum of 3p. I have proudly put it in my Roses Jar.

Lucielle, Olly was great ! We all really enjoyed it !

Mrs Happy, I promise to stop the car crashing ! Although as I was merrily driving to the station today minding my own business, a parked car on the side of the road opened its door and i nearly took it off. Had to do a crazy lady swerve to avoid it ...........

  • Mrs P, you are talking to the lady with car crashing experience!:o They are like buses, nothing for ages and then two at once :rotfl::rotfl:

I have had two crashes within a 3 minute drive from my house within 4 months. First one a minor accident where my bumper fell off after hitting her in the middle of a busy road at rush hour :o She shouted at me and rightly so!!

Second I completely wrote my car off my crashing into the back of a bus  How do you hit a bus people ask, if you arent paying attention it doesnt matter whats in front of you!
    Both in morning rush hour.

I too was distracted by family problems and I am just not a morning person :o
Thankfully I can now walk to my job :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope thats the end of this little period for you now :)

    How are the dds?

You know that flag that didn't go to the para-Olympics?...I could walk in front of your car waving it to let people know you were in the vicinity.... Apparently, that's what used to happen a hundred years or so ago :rotfl:

Glad you're okay! My grandma used to wear a blue checked housecoat too! She wore it to do the housework in, always over her petticoat, once the housework was finished she would take it off and put on a frock [she didn't wear dresses, always frocks]

  • Seriously PG you need to be more careful. Still I'm pleased no one was hurt. :) I fully understand where you're coming from. About 3 months ago, I was having a particularly bad day (I almost sacked my employee) which wasn't good as he's also a friend. Mr F's car was parked in the driveway (this was an unusual occurrence at the time - not any more as our garage door won't open) and I had to rush off to take the boys somewhere. Anyway we all jumped in the car and I promptly reversed into Mr F's car. Ended up putting a slight dent in his passenger door and putting a big scratch on my rear passenger lights. Now considering Mr F's car is a Mitsubishi Pajero (big 4 x 4) you'd think his car would have come off better than mine. It's usually Mr F doing silly things like that. :rotfl::rotfl:

Princess , you sound like you have had a nightmare as well recently. I am assuming you werent badly hurt by hitting the bus /

I have been very distracted by family things, lots of different things, but my dad has been taken ill again over the last week or so and that was on my mind on top of the other stuff ! No excuse really, both totally my fault.

The DD's are great thankyou !!:D

Mrs F , I sympathise with you there totally. Many moons ago Mr Pinot had a lovely shiny red convertable, it was his pride and joy. I borrowed it, parked on a friends very very steep driveway, put the handbrake on as hard / high as it would go and went in for a cup of tea and cake !! When I came out an hour or so later the car was missing ! My weedy attempts at putting the handbrake on hard enough on a steep hill clearly werent enough. The car had rolled backwards, down the steep driveway, backwards across the road ( thankfully a very very quiet lane) and smacked into the brick wall of the neighbours opposite !

Mr Pinot was surprisingly calm considering, but he will never let me forget it ! :o
