Hi Pinot, thankfully I wasn't awake through worry, I was awake through pain! I know you will sympathise with this one - I've hurt my back! I did it messing about with one of my horses and it is very, very painful and stopping me doing much at the moment. It happens occasionally but then seems to right itself after a few days, not like yours :(. I hope you get your appointment through quickly and get it sorted once and for all - constant pain is so wearing on top of everything else you've got on your plate.

Hope your overnight miracle happened and things look a bit brighter this morning. I'm sure the school will wait for their money, and at least you've been given some payment dates to work towards. Sorry it's all a bit hard at the moment, but just look at your signature and remember how far you've come x

Sorry to hear about your dad, but great that he seems to be on the mend.

Oh Mrs Happy, Im so sorry to hear about your back thats really not good news. Make sure you look after yourself, ice and heat alternately which Im sure you already know ! Mine is currently nerves that are trapped, but because I keep getting myself into all sorts of weird positions to try and stop the pain my lower back is now hurting, but Im not going to moan, plenty much worse off than me out there. I do hope you feel better soon.

You are right, we have come along way , but sadly the overnight miracle didnt happen despite my best attempts ! Thankfully DD2 isnt in school today so they wont be asking her for the money, we can feign forgetfulness tomorrow and maybe I can drag it out until Friday. They actually wanted the money before half term, so I not sure how long they will wait, and as we are classed as one of the affluent families at school ( no idea why !!) , it all boils back down to that Keeping up Appearances again I'm afraid. Maybe when she leaves in July I will tell them all some home truths !! :rotfl:

If they keep to their promises £1200 may show by Friday, £200 of which needs to be taken out immediately to cover VAT and Tax. That leaves £1000. £700 I have already borrowed from the VAT account to pay yesterdays bill and tide us over over the weekend with other bills , so after paying that back we will have £300. Thats the cost of the school trip !! No food for us then !!! We will all be very skinny minnies thats for sure ! :D

Feel your pain on the outstanding invoices, we've got some that are overdue and its a new company we're dealing with. A rock and a hard place kind of situation as they still want us to do work but no payment for work already done. Hmmm

Thanks for your understanding Lucielle. Nice to know others understand but not so nice to hear you are in the same boat. Im sorry to hear that. Its doubly difficult when its a new client, as you want the work, dont want to upset them, but you do want the money. We have similar. Do you ever use c£edit Focus ? We have foudn them useful in gauging whether a company is good for the money or not before accepting work fromt hem. We discovered it a bit too late sadly, but I always use it now when approached by a new client.

I really hope your money magically appears soon x

So................ DD2 has skipped off in the rain on her course today, up and ready at the crack of dawn in her excitment.

Sat both girls down last night explaining current situation with money , without worrying them, but explaining we had alot of expenses coming up as they are aware of, but that no money is forthcoming at the moment. DD2, who hordes any money she has offered to help by loaning us her birthday money she has been stashing. I already owe her 3 months pocket money and I borrowed £10 the other day from her purse that she doesnt know about yet ! :o DD1 confessed to having spent hers on clothes but apparently does have a bag of 2ps she will happily give us !! Thankfully things aren't quite that bad that I need to raid their money. anymore .........yet, but it was very sweet. I didnt want to worry them, but half term seemed to cost an arm and a leg and with DD1s GCSE courses beginning in Sept, we are being bombarded with bills for materials from the school, and also some of the Courses they have been asked to attend cost as well. I need to go through DD2s clothes to make sure she has what she needs for her schoool trip, she leaves on the 1st july so it doesnt leave long to get organised . I know she is fine for tops, its joggers & trousers I think she may be short of.

Sadly I still havent had any advise on dealing with the Wescot situation on the other website. I may post something elsewhere on here or try another Forum, or just bite the bullet, send them the letter and see what they say. If anyone reading has any thoughts or experience of how to play this please let me know. Thankyou .

Plan for today..............................work, raid the magic drawer of ebay money for a birthday present for my niece and drop that in, go to Nationwide and get the proof of payments to Wescot and open another account. Update signature to show yesterdays loan payment :D, drop some paperwork that needs signing to the doc. Go through pile of business and personal paperwork piling up in the office, hoover everywhere. Remember to collect DD2 at 3pm, not at twenty past as usual !! Take girls for fittings for bridesmaids dresses and DD1 for her last singing lesson before her exam , oh and pray that DD2s sports day is cancelled on Friday with this disgusting weather.:o

I am feeling super organised, dinner tonight will be garlic chicken......thank goodness I have food in the cupboards for once !

Thanks also to all of your wishing my dad well. I havent seen him since Saturday but I may try and squeeze a visit in today, we will see. He is on more medication, but wasnt too well on Sunday again apparently, although I only heard about it yesterday. Anyway fingers crossed he is on the mend.

Have a lovely soggy day everyone xxx

Thanks Lucielle. Yes I did think about contacting Gargrave, I jsut love her letters and I know that Westcot are one of her favourite companies to deal with !! Its now the other mob have got involved that I am a bit wary. If I get a second I will pm her I think.

Please dont be daft about stepping ver boundaries, I dont think I actually have any !!! We have raided the childrens accounts many a time. I had just recently started to build them up again, but I cleared them out at the beginning of the month when bills were due and noone had paid . I still havent paid them back yet ! :o

Maybe if we held a Group Miracle Praying Session involving a bit of chanting and perhaps a little wine, my prayers may be answered ?!!! :rotfl:

Well, I saw some Pinot Grigio Frizzante Rose in Ald* today. That seems like an ideal chanting accompaniment!

Ooh it does indeedy !! Not sure I could say the name after one too many though and may just ended up chanting "Pinot Grigio, Pinot Grigio "over and over again, rather than the miracle type words my fellow Chanters may expect from me ! :D
