  • wow you've been busy :) re the m&s....could it be that the dept you sent a letter to doesn't communicate with the other dept that have received your letter? I've found this a few times when i was originally setting up my dmp! annoying but they eventually get their acts together and send out the right letters ;)

Well done on the dinner, sounds yum, i hate cooking so will miss mr dfw not being here for a month........i may lose some weight though lol so not all a loss :p

Yes I did wonder that with M&S, I always thought they would be so efficient. I sent this letter to the Collections Dept who had written to me, so hopefully we will get somewhere. I think I will chase Santander and MBNA tomorrow as its strange they ahve answered the cards in Mr Pinots name and not the one in mine whenthey were all sent at the same time.

Dont go starving yourself while Mr dfw is away will you:)

Now that really made me laugh. I can imagine the looks on the families faces whilst I gently and lovingly straighten Mr Pinots Shirt Collars with my GHD's !!!:rotfl:
I actually find it a lot easier as you iron both sides at once so get a nice crisp edge without the usual turning up on the tips.

Oh, not sure which part of the country you're in but "see film first" offer free cinema screenings ;)

I will trying your top tip tomorrow and will report back!

Yes , I think we have seen a couple of films via film first. There is a thread on here that I'm sure you already know about where the codes for the free screenings are posted. If you are in london there's usually lots more choice .

Ironing? Waste of expensive electricity if you ask me! My family tend to favour the crumpled look..... Seriously, I only ever iron work shirts and trousers or 'posh' stuff. Our everyday clothes just get a good shake as they come out of the washing machine, then once they're dry they are hung straight in the wardrobe. T-shirts lose any creases as they're worn due to body heat. I have friends who iron bedding and even undies....!
LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

    Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527

I have a friend who does similar. She just washes, dries and puts away, but she leaves the ironing board up permanently in the utility room , so they just iron as they pull it out of the drawers and when needed. I keep saying I will do the same, but I feel I need to get rid of this mountainous pile before I start afresh, but as you are no doubt aware the pile never really goes down !

Well today is the first day before Christmas with no Mr Pinot and no children around. I ahve so much I want to do that my head is now in a total whirl and I 'm not sure what to do first ! Think I had better write a list.

    1 - Make beds - Done !
2 - Check Royal Mail website that Santander and MBNA definaltey did receive my letters - Done and they did !
3 - Really should do the Snowball Calculator if I can summon the courage - Nope not yet, maybe later !
4 - Finish setting up spending Diary on the new App - nearly done !
5 - Take back library books before I get fined if I havent already. - Done / Fines of £14.70 for three books. Oops !
6 - Work ( very important !) - year end coming up and I'm a bit behind with the Books - Done a bit towards it , but not enough
7 - Fingers crossed that we pick up a new Contract we have been hoping on. 2nd meeting today . - Should hear tomorrow !
8 - Complete all surveys in my inbox - Done ! How boring !
9 - Cook Spag Bol for dinner - Changed my mind, no Dolmio in the cupboard and I like to mix Dolmio with a homemade sauce, so making old Nigella favourite, beef and beans and pasta instead
10 - Buy Bunny Food, ran out yesterday but shops were shut before I realised - Yep, got that. Pets at Home as I drove past it on my way home and couldnt starve him any longer .huge bag though - Spent £9.78 as bought him some treats as well
11 - Buy new laptop cable bunny chewed through yesterday - Delegated that job to Mr Pinot, he doesnt know it yet though !
12 - Visit my sister, not seen her since Xmas Day. She bought some lovely presents for DD2 unfortunately none of them fit, so need to collect gift receipts - Done and had a quick coffee and chat as well !
13 - Buy DD2 new swimming hat. She has a perfectly good one but school have told her off for wearing it. New rules say it must have school logo on. How bloody ridiculous. She is only swimming until Easter and its her last year at the school. I'm sure it will be cheap as chips but thats not the point, not only the money its finding the time to go to the only shop that actually stocks them before she swims again on Friday. Apparently if she isnt wearing it they wont let her swim. - Nope ! I'm still sulking about that one
14 - Buy inner soles for DD1 as new school shoes are a bit too big. - she has changed her mind and decided they fit after all !

Ok I think thats a long enough list for today. I may or may not add to it as the day progresses. Hopefully though I will also cross a few things off !

Hope everyone has a good day x:)

Hope the day goes well, how annoying about the swimming hat (could you sneakily draw it on with marker pen haha).
