EDF Thank Yous - Is it me...?

I telephoned at the end of February and complained that I hadn't received a Thank You. I was given a different number to phone and a man then gave me a "Winning Number" (this is what he called it!)
I used it at the end of February and again last week - four goes in total because I have dual fuel from them. The only thing I got offered each time were discount vouchers for things that I wouldn't want anyway.
Very disappointing, can't understand why they bothered to run such a shabby campaign.:mad:Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
I also wondered why I was was not receiving my monthly thank you. So I had a look at the offer and found under the FAQ page the following question:
"Why haven't I received my entry number?"
The answer is:
"We send customers an entry number with each bill. If you receive your bills electronically, we send you your entry number by email each month. If you get your bills through the post, with your next one you'll find an enclosure containing your entry number.
If you haven't received an entry number, it's probably because you've unsubscribed from our marketing communications. You can update your details here.
Alternatively, if you don't want to wait until your next bill call us free on 0800 092 3487, and we will provide you with an entry number."
I have not tried ringing the number yet, but at least that explains why I have not received any. But in order to get them you need to opt-in to junk mail. There is no option to filter which junk mail you receive, so I guess it could be opening up to a problem of a constant flow of junk...0 -
To play thank you'd you need 2 numbers - an entry number and your account number.
The same entry number can be used every month. Granted you still need to get hold of one, I was sent mine in the post even though I use on-line billing.0
