Hey, did anyone check the 2-for-1 entry on Merlin attractions? The 2-for-1 at Alton Towers apparently expired before I'd won it? Figure that one out? (4th November 2011)!0

Have you tried submitting a read? I only get billed when I submit a read. I use the iphone app and it works a treat + it means don't have to join the call centre queue.0 -

I have been submitting a read monthly over the phone since January due to the fact my gas was " not live " online. It became live this week and have submitted a read on there but still no bill .Maybe that is my " thank you " from EDF...........free gas for a year .0 -
Sadly what we need is an energy company who cut their spending on 'incentives', and concentrate on what most consumers want - LOW BILLS and to be able to maintain A DECENT STANDARD OF LIVING - i.e keep warm.
In the last 12 months, I have actually switched back to using Paraffin to heat with, because its half the price of what Npower screw me for - geez its like something from out of a Charles Dicken's novel, I didn't have to do that 2 or 3 years ago, proof enough for me, that this country is rapidly being forced back into the dark ages, how long before our kids will be doing their homework by candlelight!.
Above all we need to stop being the country which is always the martyr, either in footing the bill for every 'green' concern and incentive which can be thought up and more importantly we should stop subsidising lower energy price increases in other countries. Yes, I know we currently pay less than some european countries for energy at the moment, but that void is rapidly narrowing with each increase we see, especially as customers in the UK have seen two increases in the last twelve months alone, whilst in comparison three other European countries have pointedly either frozen increases completely for their customers for 2011, or the Government has stepped in and capped them at a maximum of 2 - 3%. I dont know about you, but i'd take a 3% rise over a 18% one anyday!. But choose wisely.
Above all, if some faceless European entity wants / tells us to pay out F.I.T tariffs which are far higher then the resale value of the actual energy its producing or levies some kind of green targets for us to meet in future dates then it should practice exactly what it preaches and lead by example by supplying the lions share of the financies in order to cover the cost in which to achieve this - if they don't or aren't willing to then we should tell them to simply get lost. You just watch all of these 'green' concerns dry up when the ones levying them, also have to be the ones paying out for their roll out."Dont expect anybody else to support you, maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when each one, might run out" - Mary Schmich0 -
Well, for those who haven't received one yet and are, dare I say it, envious (lol) I suggest popping along to Ebay, where you can pick one up for a couple of quid, and unsurprisingly, there are plenty there.
For those of us who would've preferred a few quid knocked off our bills instead of this tat, I suggest popping along to Ebay, where you can try and flog one for a couple of quid, although there are plenty there, and (unsurprisingly) they don't seem to be shifting.0
