I've just had a letter today from EDF asking me to opt-in to "Thank yous" as apparently I'm opted out of junk mail.

I just chucked it in the bin as it sounded like that O2 Moments BS. Which I seem to be right.

So someone at EDF sat there and thought "I know what I'll do, I'll send a piece of junk mail, to someone who has already told us that they don't want to receive junk mail, asking them to agree to us sending them more junk mail".

It really is a world gone mad.

When I phoned a few weeks ago I was told that they were sending them out in batches throughout November/December, but time is running out now:mad:

Ah.. I will have opted out from receiving junk mail. At least they recognise that their thank yous scheme is junk!

Well apparently they've just allocated some unclaimed prizes from their November draw (probably because no-one could log on as they hadn't received a code!). I've won a family ticket for the London Eye, so keep an eye on your email...

I have been entering the competition every month.

I have not won anything useful...

Discount at comet or holiday firms or pay £30 to get discount at restaurants (a bit pointless as I have a tastecard).

I am sure a quick search oneline, will find better deals anyways....
