Hello!:D Just a very flying visit atm as popped in to pick up a link someone left for me on another thread last night.... and just couldn't resist a quick read:D
JG can't believe Roo's not here yet .......;)
Re credit cards & building your profile - using to pay for a set thing each month & clearing in full is best ...... (and stops - me anyway - overspending as I know it I can only spend what I can afford to pay that month) - if you can't quite manage the full amount for any reason..... pay more than the minimum amount - any minimum payments are now shown on your credit file as the amount outstanding, the amount you've paid that month are shown and, if it's been the minimum amount, a big fat M is marked beside it (which doesn't look great to lenders). HTH
Anyway, must dash just now - having a carp week at work & just in ...... will pop back later to catch up better ... especially at all the weird & wonderful tricks out various pets seem to be playing! (cats and swimming pool hair!)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Neither did I until I got my credit report recently (before applying for a remortgage) so it's changed in the last year or so since it was checked last....
There were a few months in late 2010/early 2011 (when I was still really struggling to pay things off) that I only made a min payment to the cc to help clear other things ..... and they were still showing:eek:
They should drop off eventually but still doesn't look great - luckily it didn't affect my application as I'd been been paying the full amount for around 9 months ....
However, even if you apprently pay say a £ more, this doesn't happen .... well worth doing IMHO:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Is it better to pay the Very account off every month or leave it for minimum payments or pay more than the minimum but not quite if you know what I mean.
Samantha xx
Sam, be aware that Very have a really high APR, circa 39%!!!! Don't get stung for the interest, it's nearly as much as JulieGeorgiana's DS pays her :rotfl::rotfl:
QueenB, hope your DS's arm is on the mend. Hospitals are never good but the early hours are the worst time to be there. Hope you manage to catch up on your sleep tonight.
Hello to DollyRocker and Mustbemad  nice to 'meet' you both! Dolly, good luck with the rest of the debt, looks like you're doing a fab job...
rising, thanks for the heads up regarding the big fat M... useful information. I'm going to get my credit report tomorrow I think. I know there's 3 places that do them now. Do you guys get them from alll 3 places or just one or 2? Is there any company which is the best one to start with? Haven't looked for a few years so I'm intruiged to see what it will look like. Don't recall traffic lights before
Good luck at the quiz Aly, if bingo is anything to go by you'll win the pubI myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0
