Have a look at this post I made yesterday regarding account rounding and OCD...
*whispers* I think it's catching ....
Honestly, I was moving stuff around in some of my pots last night and a couple have had interest added and are now sitting at £xx.04 / £xx.05 etc and it's really bugging me:oLittle_bit_dizzy wrote: »rising, thanks for the heads up regarding the big fat M... useful information. I'm going to get my credit report tomorrow I think. I know there's 3 places that do them now. Do you guys get them from alll 3 places or just one or 2? Is there any company which is the best one to start with? Haven't looked for a few years so I'm intruiged to see what it will look like. Don't recall traffic lights before
I did 2 the last time ..... both were OK so took the risk & didn't both with the third - there is somewhere you can check which lenders use which credit agencies but it's escaping me atm ..... will try to remembe (or rather, it'll probably come to me around 3am!)The same crazy cat who eats hair when we have been swimming also chews buttons and zips. Plus he has a major reaction to the smell of bleach, it sends him loopy and frisky:rotfl:makes housework interesting:D
mmmmm I was actually thinking the swimming hair may be down to the chlorine ...... cats are notorious for loving things that are very bad for them like anti-freeze and bleech:( I've got to watch mine like hawks (esp big cat) and can't even put bleech down plugs etc when he's in the house.....
Re Fleabay ... it has it's uses - I got rid of most of the "junk" in the house (although have amassed a new pile since :rotfl::rotfl:) and then bought clearance items and resold them to clear my debts - at one point I bought 500 pairs of slipper socks (in the summer) but the "proper" ones with treads on the bottom for £25 and sold them all for £1.50 so that was around £700 profit.I was totally fed up by the end tho' - all that listing, packaging, many trips to post them etc .......
The night is getting away from me  Can't believe it's 8 already & still loads to do .......Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

AND it flies from Heathrow instead of Gatwick, and DH parents live next door to Heathrow, so free parking and no extra travel costs!!! I was SOOOOOO worried about getting us to Gatwick!

A thread full of mad people - I really do feel at home
I have £100 spare this month - for the 1st time in years- and I'm taking DD2 shopping on saturday so I have bought premium bonds with it today instead of blowing it on things I don't need.
Having savings is starting to become addicitive. I will be getting an ISA next0 -

Me too mad ..... it's great isn't it!:D
Honestly, I've been so worried about how to keep on track now I'm DF and sooooooooo worried (about multiple things:o) where it could all go wrong. Feeling so much more positive & in control!
The mix of banter / chat with budgeting and other money tips along the way is just brilliant!:T
I am learning new things every dayand actually enjoying thinking about my finances etc - which is something I thought I'd never say!

To have spare money is like a dream come true isn't it? I was so frightened about not having to pay things I was so used to living close to the edge. Its taught me how to live on very little and realise that you can still be happy and have very little.
I have a son of nearly 8 going on 18. I hope one day me and OH will have a babe but not for a long while yet. That moment when you see their face. I remember it was like yesterday....the rest of it has gone in a flash. I never believed anyone who told me it went really fast.

Rising I never thought I would enjoy it either... it was always something to worry about
Sam it took me a long time to realise that living in a tight budget made me happier. When I eat my food I am proud that I cooked it from scratch, bulked it out and saved myself some money. When I go out for a walk with my family things are just so simple... and we can just be a family together... laught, walk and talk... and I love picnics! I love it when DS finds the great bargains in the charity shops....! I found that having a tight budget has made life more simple... and having a more simple life has made me appreciate my family so much more. Life has more meaning now
And I agree 8/9 years... just a flash! They just grow up so fast! I am trying not to think about how fast the next 9 years is going to go...! This is why DH and I decided that with being debt free instead of having extra money each month I would become a SAHM instead... because they just don;t stay young for very long... and I want to treasure every moment
I am being too hormonal and emotional tonight *sigh*We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
I'm just as anxious about getting my savings balance up as I was getting my loan balance down!

You are so right JulieGeorgiana, I think we are all happier living on a tight budget, it certainly has made me appreciate everything more. Every bargain gives me such a kick now - I don't need to be so careful but really enjoy getting as much as I can for every penny that I have earned.
My DD1 is 17 and DD2 is 15 and the time seems to be speeding up the older they get.0
