    Hi again.

Put my small claims court demand in on 21/03/12 to TurnIntoCash.com. Received a cheque yesterday for the full amount including the court fees I paid out. Hopefully the cheque should clear later this week.

I am left with mixed feelings. Glad that I received the money as promised... bad that it had to come down to that. If I think too much about the guy who runs the place and what he must be going through... I guess I sort of feel bad for adding to that... Then again... The company ignored all promises... gave out false information... and sounds like they have done some people short... so maybe it is justified. I hope the guy can learn and grow from all this...

Anyway - thanks to them for issuing my cheque! C'mon guys - start playing fair and get yourselves in a better place!

  • Just to add to the other MSErs who have recently received cheques after filing a claim with MCOL. I filed online on 21/02/12 - I was happy to pay the £25 if it would mean getting it all returned and sure enough, I got the cheque in the post earlier this week.

Like abundant I feel for the people involved with the company - more so the staff who are probably getting the brunt of the grief. However, after the initial email claiming they 'hadn't yet recieved my items' (after three weeks, sent via their courier service ) there was absolutely no contact, no apology for the delay and no explanation as to why.

I think they probably are just paying out to prevent further bad press but of course, now they're adding £25 to the cost of each customer's payments so it's not the best business plan!

Anyway, I'm pleased to finally get my cash, almost four months on! Hope the cheque clears!

I had an email saying my "My parcel was received" on the 20th March, nothing since. But it's for £1.10 so to be honest paying out £25 on court-fees (even though I will probably get it back) will be silly.

They have dropped the prices down to try and pretend people selling stuff to them, although they could have easily put a notice on the website saying that "due to high demand the website isn't currently taking any trades in" to try and clear the backlog.

And my 10p CDs were ones which Magpie refused as they are so worthless.
  • I sent my DVDs to them on 07 February via their courier. I filed a MCOL the end of last month and they were served on the 7th. They owe me £172.85. Today however I have received loads of e-mails from TIC stating that they have been through my boxes and have tested and they will be paying me £103.40 and another e-mail stating that they will be paying me £53.88 = £157.28 they deem 5 DVDs to be scratched (they weren't but they were the most expensive). They will send me another e-mail when the cheque is sent "on their next run". I don't know what to do - accept this or not. I've also paid £25 to MCOL but I've had enough of the whole thing. Have others had payment like this after having filed?
  • Hi all...

I put in my small claims court request on 21/03/12.

Today I received an email from them to say that my goods have been received/checked and they will send a cheque for the initial amount on the next print run.

No mention was made of the fine/fee and not included in the amount they have said they will pay.

I will wait for the cheque and let you know what happens. If they overlook it will have to chase up when they received it etc. Hopefully it will all work out in the end...

This had just happened to me. Did you get your court fees in the end?

I've just had an email only stating the amount owed prior to them being issued by the small claims court on my behalf.
I suspect they'll try and get away without paying it given the way they've acted thus far.
I'm going to email them reminding them of £25 they owe me for the small claims and make it clear that I won't be cashing the cheque without it and will take it even further if possible.
  • UPDATE - cheque received for full amount, £16.50 + £25 court costs. If anyone is umming or ahhing, just go for it!
I sent a "final demand" by recorded delivery on 15/03/12 that has been ignored, so I filed my MCOL just now. It only took 15 minutes to complete and I should get a response within 14 days... here's hoping. What a dreadful company!

if anyone needs help with the MCOL just send me a PM, I'd be happy to help.
