  • Just submitted my online small claim. Surprisingly easy to do and hopefully I will get the same result as the other posters on this forum.

If they were a decent company they would stop taking new trades as a temporary measure until they can clear the back-log.

TurnintoCash, a company which won't be around for much longer I would imagine, so get your court claims in ASAP before it gets to a point where you win in court but TiC goes under so you won't get anything back.
  • DO NOT USE, DO NOT USE. I sent my packet of CDs on the 17th of January and still nothing now on the 14th of March. I have emailed them repeatedly and first I got some rubbish about receiving an unexpected amount of packages and having to train staff and after that just an automated reply. They said in their first reply to me that they had received my packet but on my account on the website it still says awaiting receipt. This company is highly unprofessional and when I finally get my money out of them, if ever, I'm going to write to their managing director by registered post telling him how much of an incompetent idiot he is. I hope others will do the same.
  • Exactly the same as me only they collected my dvds on 07 February 2012. Replied to first email with the "unexpected amount of packages" excuse, now automated replies only. Would never ever use them again even if they did get their act together. Never sent anything away to be sold before and only did it this time cos MSE recommended them. First and last time!

    Start Legal Proceedings!

Don't bother with the letter to the director, he'll just throw it away. Report them to Fraud prevention and also get your money back

And they will also pay the court fees as well.

Start legal proceedings before it's too late and they go bust taking your goods with them.
  • Hi there.

I just thought to let you know what has been happened after I read this forum but I dont want to reply until I get what I should have.

I sent out the dvds to turnintocash between christmas and new year, then they have stated that they have recieved the parcel around Jan time I think. I gave them a call to find out what is going on with the dvds etc, and they said that they have struggling with backlog of parcels over xmas and will sort it out also said will send out the cheque next week - which never has turned up after a phone call I made on 16th Jan and tried again few times they are ringing out.

So I had called Consumer Direct for their advice and I wrote a formal letter to them to explain that they are in breach of contract by not sending us a cheque within 7 days and find out what has going on with dvds and wanted to know where is my money? By recorded signed for last monday, then recieved £78 cheque yesterday!! Whoo hoo. I suggest you do the same for this one.
  • Turnintocash.com are usless. I had my CD's picked up on the 31st January and I still haven't heard anything from them. I have e-mailed twice with no reply. In my opinion DO NOT USE this company.

Send a "letter before action" letter to them, recorded delivery saying that if you don't see your money by the 26th March you will start legal proceedings against them.

You will probably find a cheque in the post pretty sharpish soon after.
  • Just received a cheque from Turn Into Cash with the total amount owing including court fees and interest. I won't count my chickens until the cheque has been paid but submitting an online claim appears to be the way to go if you want a response and your money quick.
