Their courier collected my boxes on 07 February. I emailed them a week later asking if they had received them as my status was still showing "awaiting reply". I received a reply on 15 February:
"Sorry yes we have received them. But as yet it hasn't been opened and checked on to the system, which is why the status in your account hasn't changed as yet. We have received an extremely high number of parcels in the last couple of weeks; please bear with us as things may take a little while longer than they usually would due to this. Once your parcel has been checked on to the system you will start to receive automated emails from the website to show you what stage it is up to. Apologies for the delay this is due to us being a relatively new company. And the extremely high number of parcel we have been receiving, we had to take on more staff who have to be trained correctly. Thank you for your patience.
Many Thanks

I was ok with that as they replied promptly with a credible excuse for the delay but having read this forum I have to admit I'm a bit worried now as I sent them 182 dvds/cds and the value of my trade was £172. I check this website most days in the hope that someone has something positive to say about this company but haven't been lucky so far. Keep waiting and hoping I guess.0 -

You have been one of the chosen few whom the company have decided to respond to. Others like me have just been ignored completely.0 -
To be honest, before I sent my package they replied immediately to my emails (enquiries about booking the courier).
- After they received my package, it took a couple of emails to get a response from them (to acknowledge that they received it). Then I got the automated testing and payment approved emails.
- After that it took 3 or 4 emails to get a response from them about the payment cheque (they claim they sent one that must have got lost and that they'd cancel it and send another, which never turned up either - so pretty obviously a lie on both counts).
- After that, they didn't respond to any more emails I sent.
- They didn't even respond when I sent a recorded delivery letter.
So they do initially reply to emails because they want you to send them your goods, then they string you along a bit with some lies (lots of parcels, short-staffed, your emails were lost in the spam folder, blah blah blah) to keep you waiting and then when it comes to paying you, they ignore you.
Consumer Direct recommended I send a final letter giving them 7 days to pay, after which I'll report them to Action Fraud, start a Count Court small claim and probably report them to the local Manchester police as well.
Again - DO NOT SEND TURNINTOCASH YOUR STUFF, MORE LIKELY THAN NOT THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU!
I've been waiting for payment since October 2011 :-/0 -
FYI I initiated a small claims case against TurnIntoCash last week and have this morning received a cheque from them in settlement of the amount due (including the court fees). So despite not responding to emails it does seem that someone is at least opening the Recorded Delivery items. I will of course report back if there's any problem banking the cheque.0

I was in a position of being able to deliver my box myself, as I was nearby on business. My parcel was worth approx. £370 according to their system. About 20 minutes after leaving their very small and unprofessional looking unit / warehouse, they rang me to say they had checked my box and could not accept it as they thought I was a trader.
No idea why as there were no multiples in the parcel and I am certainly not a trader as I don't have the time, having a full time job travelling round the country training people.
So they can be quick when they want to be.
In my opinion it is a scam, as already suggested, to try and get cd's for free and hope people cannot be bothered trying to get them back. Luckily I was able to collect mine in person.
I have a friend who has not been as lucky, still waiting for confirmation they have received and processed his order, almost a month after sending it.Karma is a wonderful thing.0 -
I sent two separate parcels in November and December and was paid promptly so I thought they were okay. So I sent 3 parcels in January (total value £150) - one showing received and being tested and the other two awaiting receipt. I have chased by e-mail but have had no reply and cannot get through on the telephone - one number says the person is not available and the other number says the voicemail is full so a message cannot be left.
Has the company gone bust or is this a scam?0 -
Just sent them an e-mail asking when I'm likely to receive payment as it's been over a month (not long compared to some I must admit) and received and automated reply:
Many thanks for contacting TurnIntoCash Support.
We are currently dealing with an unexpectedly high volume of trades and will get back to you as soon as possible.
In the past two months the number of trades we have received has been over ten times more than expected which has meant that some of our processes have been delayed as we recruit and train new team members and process trades. This has meant that payments have been delayed to users which we are working to resolve.
As and when your account status changes you will receive an email from the website.
We would ask that you monitor your account as our customer services team are unable to provide any additional information at the moment.
In the meantime your patience is appreciated - your trades will be processed in the order they arrive.
I don't think I'm ever going to see my money or my dvds (worth £172) ever again!! Is there ANYONE getting paid?0 -

I can recommend a Small Claims Court action - it worked for me.0 -

I filled in the form online and ticked the box for additional evidence to be sent. However I'm not sure what to do now. Do I send the evidence via signed for immediately or do I wait for the stuff to arrive from the court?
Thanks0 -

Hmmm...I didn't choose that option. My cheque from TurnIntoCash arrived 5 days after I submitted the claim - the same day as the Court paperwork arrived!0
