Me too. I shall miss mine when the tree comes down.
Glad the sofa fits and looks grown-up Lula. I'm still seriously envious but managed to skip straight past Harveys today

 I think I'd quite like a bright pink shark

Be careful what you wish for KC ; I've been trying to get rid of it for months :rotfl:
So, here I am all scrubbed, polished & realxed & delaying the pleasure of the clean sheets for a bit longer. The last 2 days rearranging, cleaning, shifting etc has ruined my nails so I've had to cut them really short & am now deliberating whether to start the new year with tealy turquoise or deep purplish red hmmmm.
I've been working very hard on finishing off the vicious gin & tonight managed 2 long glasses so my resistance is improving
. I've also had a Baileys but must stop that as I have a terrible habit of dipping highland shortbread in the glass too
I plan on being far more social & sociable next year, but am out of the habit of entertaining & I do enjoy hosting ( when fully prepared) so, having just got my living room all clean, tidy & just how I like it ... I decide to invite some family round on Sunday .
There have been various mini grievances, rifts & a general lack of family feeling in recent months/years & with my Grandmother passing recently I have taken charge of the situation & resolved to bring people back together.
DD1 & my lil sis have not met up in ages, lil sis has a new BF & we've not met him yet, I'm still a bit miffed about the whole christmas thing but this is an ideal opportunity to get over it, start the new year afresh & as I'll be having a birthday on sunday, it's my party & I'll drink if I want to
. Littlest DD needs to get used to having other people in the home & learning a bit of hostessing & I need people to practice hostessing on
.
So, I need to provide a tea party for 6 / 8 peeps & my budget is half the £48.55 that's in my purse :rotfl:.
We have plenty of eggs so I'll set DD the task of making cakes as she's brilliant at them, I'll buy some sausage rolls & crisps as everyone likes those, maybe make a big bowl of pasta, one of salad & chop up some carrots etc for dipping.
Anyone got any other good suggestions for cheapish, easy & non-messy (my new sofa ) things to eat ?
I'd best get off to bed now, my clean sheets are calling to me :rotfl:
G'night

Okay, I'll remember that - it *is* a little large, after all

Ooh, cheapish nibbles - at the games evenings, we do crudites with dips - hummus, taramosalata - they don't drip, at least. But might still be too messy, sorry!
And there's a birthday of yours involved? Niiiceeee, we like!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but did you find the perfect one????

Yes I did.
Everyone of them!
1x Bobbi Brown for work (half used)
1x Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser (almost gone)
1x Clinique tinted moisturiser for work in the summer (half empty)
1x Philosophy liquid foundation/tinted moisturiser - not keen on this one and will use it up at some point
6x Bare Minerals (fair x 1, light x 3 fairly light x 2)
Oh no, that's way more than 6, it's 10! At least I won't have to buy any for about 2 years if I wear foundation every single day!
Glad I wrote it down as I had no idea it was so many, how embarrassing
Anyway, just popped on to wish Happy New Year to one and all and esp. Lula!
