thank you all for birthday wishes you lovely lot :kisses3:

I've had a lovey day inspite of the UNchosen-Family stuff. Woke up at 8.30 & just lazed around reading until a phone call about quarter to ten. My lovely aunt wishing me a happy birthday & asking about plans for the day.

She mentioned something about seeing me next week & I queried it. She seemd surpised that I sounded so vague & then asked if I was aware of the funeral arrangments. Errr no, been waiting to hear about that from Dad ... turns out he was supposed to have told us all last friday :mad:. He's gone ahead & arranged the date & time - 10.15 am ... my elder sister & another aunt live over 2 hours drive away so I dont know !!!!!! he was thinking I'm also wondering why he arranged this & didn't bother to tell any of us :huh:

So, that was a cheery start to my birthday :rotfl:. Never mind though, I had already decide that whaever happend, I was going to enjoy myself. DD put a stop to me opening the pink fizz at 11 though - spoilsport .

Lil sister sent text wishes for a happy birthday & that pretty much assured me that she wasnt going to turn up. Never mind, DD & I prepared a pile of food including quiche, potato salad, sausage rolls, tortilla chips, salad & various salady thing & dips. DD made a fab cake & iced it in pale turquoise & then used those icing pens to draw a picture of a VW camper & me on it it's bluddy brilliant & hilarious all in one go :T.

DD1 + BF all arrived about 3 & I was then allowed to drink fizzy pink stuff :j got latest Lady Gaga CD so whacked that in & got my groove on .

Sister sent text to say she had 'really hoped' to get over but they were still at her hobby place so it just wasnt gonna happen. I wasn't at all surprised but just thought it was a bit cowardly to text rather than call. DD1 furious & even Dad mentioned something about priorities but I frankly don't give a flying duck, 2011 was my final year for pandering to Unchosen-Family & trying to be nice to all of them.

From now on it's all about me & my Chosen-Family so they can do as they please .

Had a great afternoon & evening, quaffed rather too much food & probably rather too much booze, I've had fizzy pink, G&T & am rounding off with a cheeky baileys :beer:

I've had some lovely gifts; more lotions & potions & hair products, candles, gorgeous angora socks, magenta coloured plant thing, CDs, a bluddy diet book from DD1 ( cheeky cow) new trollbead for my bracelet & £135 cash & cheques :j I should be putting that money towards the sofa ... but it's going to go in my clothes fund bank account so if I get tempted by anything uber-fabulous that I just HAVE to have during the year then I can use it for that.

One more day off & then back to work to see my boys, Grumpy should be happy as he beat me at the latest game of scrabble .

I really must go watch the dvd that Laidback Dude lent me, but first I need to make an additition to my 'list of things I wont buy in 2012' ... completely forgot the most important one :

lol love your lists of not to buy's :-) agree if you use present money it dont count lol :-)
Stuff the family, you tried really hard hun.. and did your best.. you just arrange lovely things for you guys and leave them all to it.
