If I've got to spend £20 going out I would rather it was spent in a pub :D

For cinema though we make our own popcorn and sprinkle it with icing sugar or if feeling very decadent, chocolate nesquik ;)

    Hello again,

In vague efforts to find time to do other stuff I'm trying out only posting on MSE every other day ... otherwise I just get obsessive about it & then stressed because I lose so much time here :o.

I've not slept well the last two nights & am shattered, I think the ridiculous wind & rain have been partly to blame, then the large glass of Baileys can take responsibility for the rest of it. It must be loaded with sugar so rather than relaxing me, it just hypes me up. Went to bed at 11 which is early for me & was still awake at 12.30 ... finally dropped off & then woke again at 5.

I then have to ingest more caffeine & sugar to keep going during the day & the whole cycle starts again  The Baileys has now gone & I'm farily sure I went through exactly the same scenario in years past so mental note NOT to buy Baileys next year, especially not the large bottle & particulalry not if ending up drinking it all by myself :rotfl:

It was nice to see the boys at work again & even nicer when I remembered that Gropey is off for a couple of weeks ... everyone is happy although a bit bored as we're pretty quiet right now.

The only money I've spent so far this year is from my Fun Fund, so not really spending as such & I've received a £5 amazon voucher - survey reward so a good start to the year :D.

I'd be grateful if people would remind me that I have 16 books to read so am not allowed to buy anymore.

Laidback Dude has been singing the praises of Guitar Hero for the wii so I might try saving all my amazon vouchers towards that. He did offer to lend me his set :A but as he gets trains to work I really can't expect him to do that - nearly suggested he just come & live here instead ( well, he's employed, tidy & enjoys cooking, what's not to like :rotfl:)

After bracing myself for home-job horror yesterday, I had less than 2 hours work, today however, more than made up for it :(. I really do despise that job & I need to keep reminding myself that if I learn to live on a much tighter budget & stop wasting money on stuff we don't need, then I might be able to give it up

Last day of both jobs for this week tomorrow, & no spends expected either, I'm hoping to avoid withdrawing cash for grocery shopping until Monday ...

Right, need to get some quality sleep tonight so off to bed now,

    G'night
    xx

Night Lula, sorry you've not been sleeping well. I know only too well the sugar keeps you awake, then you need more sugar to keep you awake cycle :D (except as I wrote that I realise I sleep really well, so maybe that doesn't work - or maybe it just needs shortening to sugar leads to me needing more sugar :D)

Perhaps I need some more sleep??

I think it takes a week or so to get back into a proper sleeping pattern after a couple of weeks off - I've stuggled this week :(

am so with you on sleeping patterns and also the amount of time on here trying to keep up..I need to get more balance too
  • Oh Taxi, seeing the time you just posted...me three! For the last couple of nghts, I have zonked out on the sofa again, and woke up half an hour ago. If I go up to bed, I wont get back to sleep as I will be thinking about alll the things I need to do - but wont actually get on and do them!.

DH snores, and has been feeling 'up for it' since the new year started so even less sleep!

Belated birthday wishes for last week my dear gorgeous girl! Happy New 2012 to you too and I wish us both the best year!

The cake sounded fabulous too and I would wish for a camper van too one day I hope.

As for me I'm currently welded now to the settee to try and finish my assignment off and summon up some motivation to do it after my longer run this evening. Tired is not the word currently. And I too am abstaining from boozelicious for Jan as once this assignment is in the next one needs to get up and running for the impending deadline. Just coming up to a week now with none and all is ok.
