  • I have made up a batch of spag bol this evenin to be frozen, buts its not fully cooled yet for me to put in the freezer.

I'm off to bed in a min, so wondering what the best thing to do with it is?

Put it in the freezer eventhough its still warm?
    Put it in the fridge?
Or leave in in the container out on the side over night?

not too good with the ins and outs of what you can and cant do when cooking, freezing and reheathing food.

Any help would be muchy appreciated.

If its not absolutely cold don't put it in either fridge or freezer...do you have a cold spot in your kitchen/utility room? If not, you could try some cold water in the sink and leave it until morning, when it will be fine for the freezer...I have done this on several occasions and nobody has suffered any ill effects

    And me :D

I haven't got time to wait around for things to cool.

And I reheat things more than once.

I do lots of naughty things and we not dead - yet :rotfl:

Actually, my clean freak sister in law who is also extrememly cautious over food has 3 children who always have colds/coughs/infections/poorly tums etc.

My grandad always said a few germs keep the rest away :D:D

I just bung them in freezer bags, roughly an onion's worth at a time (chop them in the processor though). But then I do double-bag them or the freezer seems to smell a bit oniony ;)
