Not sure about freezing chicken in the sauce, but I often freeze leftover cooked chicken and use it later, just make sure that you cook through so that it is piping hot.

Not very OS, but I sometimes pick up the supermarket cooked chickens when they are reduced at the end of the day (cheaper than cooking my own) and let them cool right down and freeze them.

You have just reminded me that I have got a couple of left over Turkey drumsticks from christmas:o Wonder if I've left it too long to use them now:confused:

If you have, unlike me, a proppa freezer, there should be a picture on the inside of the door telling you how long you can keep stuff for. If, unlike me, you have a proppa freezer, fresh meat can usually be kept for 6 months or more, but cooked meat might only be 3 months. If you can't find your manual, which should tell you, do an internet search for the make and model and see if you can find an online manual.

It's a table-top one. When I moved into this house it was a rental and there was a huge arch between the lounge and the kitchen where a fridge/freezer would normally have gone (on the kitchen side). I had room for an undercounter fridge and got the freezer to go on the worktop. Now I've bought the house I've had the arch blocked back up so I can get a proppa fridge/freezer in there now. :D (Because it's not full sized, you don't get the normal star-markings on the door because stuff doesn't last so long.)
