Might be easier to treat yourself to a pint of UHT longlife milk, assuming you don't want to splash out on Coffee Mate. If you take one of those clip things, and put it back on the opened milk corner as soon as you've poured what you need, you can fool it into thinking it is still unopened for a couple of days
.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Hmmm, DP hates UHT milk, this is my problem, him not me, thinking powdered may taste nicer. Might try sneeking some in his over the weekend and see how it goes.
If there is somewhere that sells milk I've got away with keeping fresh in a full sink of cold water for a couple of days, depends if there is 2 sinks as to if I can do that. One day I might be more organised...........

I think the trick with dried milk in hot drinks is to add it AFTER the water, and let the water cool from boiling before you add it. Otherwise it goes lumpy. Gross!
Have you thought about those sachets or tins of instant cappucino you can get? A bit artificial, but they mix up without going lumpy IYSWIM.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Right, will give that a try tomorrow, test run time, if not I'm going to Lidls in the morning and they do the tins of cappucino which is really nice, never thought of that, great idea, thanks!
(PS I never make coffee with boiling water anyway, makes it yak)
Reason I am asking is I've been told Coffee is £1.70+ a cup where we are staying, I'll end up skint on the first day! Same with other drinks been told they are expensive so taking cordial etc for the boys, with their juice bottle and either buy bottled water from lidls or might be able to pack my filter jug, not the same as the fresh juice they usually have but with no fridge it's tough. Might have saved up a lot to go away with but no way I'm wasting a fortune on overpriced drinks. One day I might be more organised...........

You see, I've learned the Cappucino trick because DS1 is away at Uni, and not only doesn't drink coffee himself, but doesn't keep any fresh milk in his house, and his housemates don't seem to either! So I drive up to pick him up, and can't even get a cup of coffee when I arrive unless I take my own! The sachets of cappucino are great for that!
Enjoy your holiday!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Thanks Sue, got 3 tins
which does 20 cups ish each from Lidl's today, only £1.19 a tin aswell so not bad price either. They did the little sachets (10 for 99p Nescafe ones) but I don't know how big the cups would be so went for the tins. Really don't know why I didn't think of it myself
