nicki, i'd only risk it if you aren't planning on serving the cakes up to impress!

Here's how I'd do it, cut small circles fo greaseproof paper for the bottom of each cake space in your tin. Grease tins and paper well.

You do risk having them stick to the sides though - i'd pop out and buy some cases!

I risked it - I greased/floured the "tins" and just kept my eye on them. They've turned out without any problems :j Little bit drier than usual but still very much edible & less likely to stick to each other in the lunchboxes ;)

You could blanch them in the way you would a tomato. :)

Could someone please recommend a good basic vegetarian cook book or a website where I could download some recipies. I am a VERY reluctant cook with no imagination

In addition to the excellent websites boo has listed, you can find inspiration in Gingham Ribbons Summer Vegetarian meal plan thread:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=453694&highlight=Summer

Quick Q, How do you stop a dishwasher from smelling? It's been pulled apart and all the pipes cleaned but it still smells.

    Any ideas?
